Snap Swivel Or Straight To Line?
Jigs should be tied direct to the line. Since this is a "feel" bait, you don't want anything between the rod tip and the bait.

Post the link if you find it. I'm a little busy here at work, so I can't look it up.

"that Doesn't Count"
I thought Mike Long caught her post spawn, on a swimbait?

"that Doesn't Count"
At least three people have caught her, so..... Perry's bass came from a little oxbow lake that doesn't even exist anymore. Makes Kirota's catch on Biwa even more impressive, huh.

I Need To Keep An A-Rig Deep. Suggestions?
I have no idea... the only time I ever knew exactly how deep my baits were running when trolling was when using a downrigger or when the baits were hitting bottom.

Which Spinning Reel Size For Finesse Bass Fishing?
If you only going to use braid, either the 100 or 200 will be fine. If you intend to try fluoro, you want a bigger spool, so the 200 gets my vote for greatest versatility.

"that Doesn't Count"
It counts, but small ponds are a special circumstance. And it isn't always to the angler's advantage. Many ponds get a tremendous amount of pressure. It's just two different types of fishing. Locating trophy bass on a bigger lake, from a boat is a totally different type of fishing - and that regard I agree with Dwight. But I also can't see diminishing anyone's achievement in successfully catching a big fish. For me, pond fishing is more about the hunt for the "right" pond at the "right" time. That can be more challenging than the actual fishing. In the end, it's just fishing. And congrats on your catch - that's a slob!

Trying To Find A 7' Light Power Spinning Rod
Sometimes my belt doesn't match my purse or shoes when I'm out fishing. Kidding...Yeah, if you look at the trout series, that part has a cool metallic paint job. I guess they were looking to key off the cork with the beige? The tall guides keep light line off the blank. You could always have DVT build you a rod using that blank to your specs. I'm guessing it wouldn't be much more expensive. Mike is pretty reasonable.

Just add weight to the jigs. You don't want the main head heavier than the sum of the baits - that will add to fouled baits. If you drop it by the side of the boat, you'll see what I mean. Determine your sink count, and count it down, and reel slow. You can get your retrieve cadence with a short cast, and a three count. Same retrieve, maybe a bit slower.

Best Kayak For Us Big Boys ...
If you get seat time, consider the gear you'll be bringing. Some boats behave dramatically different the lower they sit in the water. For instance, big boys don't have as many issues with tracking in the Prowler Big Game as I do, at a buck-fitty wet, lol. For me, a steerable skeg was required, whereas it isn't for bigger guys. That's a case a case where weight is better - there are cases where it's worse. The Freedomhawk boats come to mind here.

Trying To Find A 7' Light Power Spinning Rod
That's a reversed Pac Bay Minima reel seat. I actually think their ramp solution with a rear locking seat is pretty cool. Otherwise, you get this, which doesn't look as comfortable. I guess you'd have to handle one to really see if you have a preference.
