Who's your favorite guitarist of your generation?

For me, it's gotta be Slash. The man is known for everything. Probably one of the most noted solos of all time (remember my gen) is Sweet Child o Mine. Next to Ferby in that cute little number, his riff at the 2011 Half Time Show was worth every minute I had to sit through Ferby and her gang barking, squawking, screeching if that's called music.

My generation? I'll go with Slash too.

His new stuff is good too, that song "Anastasia" has a good opening.

Dang, forgot about DD.

Love me some Pantera.

Danny Gatton   Robin Trower   Stevie Ray Vaughn

I've never agreed that Hendrix is #1.  Great player,  writer,  innovator.  Even Hendrix didn't consider himself the best or even close.  If you want to know how good a writer and innovator he was,  just listen to Stevie Ray play his music.

My generation? Im not sure. I was born in 83, but grew up with classic rock. All time fav without a doubt is David Gilmour. Theres no touching him. Not a shredder by any means, but if you want to FEEL the music, listen to Gilmour. Close behind him for me has to be Clapton and SRV.

One of todays great guitarists, and dont laugh, is John Mayer. He might be an uber DB, but if you look past all that, and dont listen to the words and just listen to the guitar, the man has got soul.

You can't pick Tommy Iommi just because he lost his finger tips. HAHA

SRV - STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN  all the way!

Think how good he'd be if he had them all.
