Will Bass Bed Near Tilapia Beds?
That doesn't always play out up here. Quality spawning grounds are at a premium on some lakes, and the beds pepper the grounds. It gets even worse when bass are done and the sunnies move in. Whole shorelines can be honeycombed. My guess is that more of our northern fish actually spawn. With a short growing season, it make sense.

You'll like them. Got use mine in the casting pool at the dome this weekend. Preliminary advice: pour more 1/8 oz. ball heads.

Leader For Stopping Bite Offs From Pike?
You can tie up Texas rigs with the knotable leaders - something you cannot do with premade leaders.

Any Ideas On Texas Rigging A Weighted Tube
I got a chance to play with the Owner Jig Rig while repping at a local sportsman's show, and this looks like a VERY good option for tubes.

Square Bill Vs. Spinnerbait Vs. Fluke?
Problem solving 101 - apply each lure's strengths to the situation at hand. The fluke is the most weedless. Spinnerbaits work really well if the wood is a fallen tree. For stumps, the square bill excels.

Alabama Rigs
There are some very good reason to buy other brands. I just picked up a couple with the resin head from Picasso. It's light, works PERFECT with 1/8 oz. ballheads and 3-4" Keitech Swing Impacts. And it already has a swivel for a line tie to boot! The whole thing is less than 2 oz. FINESSE UMBRELLA! LOL.

Preliminary Research Data For <$130 Baitcasters!!!
No, I think it was an inexpensive spinning reel, though. For the OP, if you are going strictly by MSRP, then a Citica G fits the bill. Otherwise, you can get a host of even better reels either on sale or used.

Leader For Stopping Bite Offs From Pike?
I can see it being an issue on the reefs. In the deep, dark world of the toothy critter, it's another story. I seldom recommend heavy fluoro anymore, since the tieable Cortland product works so well, and is easier to use.

Leader For Stopping Bite Offs From Pike?
Two words when dealing with big leaders: metal crimps.

Leader For Stopping Bite Offs From Pike?
60 to 100# works for the 10-15 lb. class fish I catch. It MUST be saltwater leader material, though. It's quite a bit more expensive than the options listed above.

Preliminary Research Data For <$130 Baitcasters!!!
The reviews are either from brand fanboys or nutcases with no real relevance. I read them sometimes purely for entertainment value. One of my all time favorites was for some reel. It didn't come with line, so the reviewer gave it a one.
