  1. Most waters along Lake O. never got any further than skim ice. Guys have been whacking the perch and 'eyes all winter long.
  2. I think both those baits are long discontinued. GYCB makes a good craw, and the Rage Craws work well, too.
  3. Rods: Saint Croix Avid AVC70MM and AVC70MHM Lines: 8, 10# P-Line CXX 10, 12# Trilene 100% Fluoro 14# Suffix Elite And this year I'm trying out 10, 12# Tatsu
  4. 12# P-Line CXX.
  5. I thought we were talking about the Buzz Frogs on the front page of their site. That looks like a useful bait. If you're talking about a 2 oz. life like frog, well that sounds more like something my four year old might like to terrorize my nieces with, LOL.
  6. I never think to do this - always have another bait in mind, whether it's a ribbon tail, beaver, or craw. I'll have to try to remember this one, because I've seen it work first hand, especially on Oneida, once the weeds come strong.
  7. My speeling is prefect two.
  8. No, I don't use tubes weedless. There jigs with wire weed guards that I've seen others use.
  9. I use weighted tube jigs or nothing at all. Anything inserted inside the tube has given me fits with the hookup ratio.
  10. Chances are, if they are hooked in the chin by the trailer, it's because they are crashing the blades. Like this:
  11. Like any other toad you retrieve them so they buzz across the surface. Watch this video of a Rage tail Toad to see: http://www.ragetail.com/ragetailtoad.html
  12. My favorite spinnerbait trailer is a hook.
  13. I never understood why you WOULDN'T spiral wrap micros. Seems like it defeats the purpose.
  14. I'm insured for $11K to replace my rig, and $1,000,000 for liability. It's around $200 per year, and rolled into my homowners/car/boat coverage.
  15. These are all browser based issues.
  16. The only plastic parts that concern me in this reel are the yolk posts. That clutch trip plate is a little iffy, but so are Daiwa's trip plates.
  17. LOL, what's funny is NO ONE is complaining about Zillions not changing one iota, and now are $90 more than when they were introduced.
  18. WOW!!! A government agency actually made a decision, and then intelligently said, "hey, if it isn't working right, we can change it." OK, no more politics, LOL. That's actually pretty cool though. And yeah, the two jerkbait rule is a little weird, but given the distance, and the way one can slide way up the main line, I'd say that's fair.
  19. I had a Garcia and a 301, and my dad had a Garcia and a DAM Quick. I later upgraded to a Penn and an Ugly Stick. That lasted until I was about 14, and I got bit by the "bass bug."
  20. Seems that way, but I had fun, and was happy to have the 2nd hand gear back then. We weren't as well off as I am now.
  21. He's spent enough time in my Xpress to know better. Two little ones and the wife in my boat.....ehhhh, been there, done that, not again anytime soon!
  22. Clayton, look for a Fish and Ski type boat. Not one of those family boats with a trolling motor up front, but basically a bass boat with a bigger pit and more seating. Many of the big names made them for years. Otherwise, a 17-18' deep-v with a walk through windshield would work, too. That's we always had growing up.
