  1. I use grubs for trailers on jigs had a lot of success with it I also like to rig the Texas style weightless with spinning gear caught a lot of fish like that as well fishing them almost like a senko letting it sink then slowly pulling it up but with a little quicker cadence.
  2. I was using the blood knot but I lost two baits with it broke at the knot or came undone not sure,so I'm trying the modified Albright knot it isn't to bulky I haven't fished it yet but if it doesn't work I'll have to try the uni to uni. For those of you with smart phones there is a knot wars app. That is pretty slick quite a few knots and a how to video for each one.
  3. I have my first club tournament this weekend then the top 8 tournament the weekend after I am eager to fish hard and learn new things! Are a lot of people on BR a part of clubs?
  4. Yes it is a roller you move with your foot. I did take it apart it has a magnet that is connected to the roller which rides on I circuit board looking deal (not sure on the technical name) I cleaned that surface and the magnet, put the magnet back into the slot designated for it which is connected to the roller. I'm not sure if that would reset it or not. If there us another way I'm all ears!
  5. A friend of mine told me to do it so it was probably in there for quite a while. But another friend of mine told me about a guy who rebuild the motors for a decent price so I think I will have it rebuilt and get a fresh battery for it. Thanks everyone for the help I appreciate it!!
  6. Could it be bad connections in the wires? The batteris are clean no corrosion and I had one hooked to the charger while I was running the trolling motor in the garage and I took the petal control apart and cleaned the magnet and the surface it rides on. Thanks for the input!
  7. My friend and I were fishing a lake with 30 mph winds rain and it was about 45 out caught a lot of fish decided to head in got half way back and ran out of gas. It was an interesting ride back to the ramp in 3 foot waves with a trolling motor that was going dead!!
  8. My trolling motor is running slow it doesn't kick on until the speed is up to 4 and when it is full speed its not as strong as it used to be this is while the charger in the boat is plugged in so I dont think it is a battery problem. I took the blade off and cleaned all the line and weeds out. Any suggestions to what else to look for or is it just getting old and warn? It's probably 4 or 5 years old minn Kota 75# thrust.
  9. I carry my s&w m&p 9 just about every where people get stupid when they are desperate and I'm not gonna be a victim lol
  10. 40 # power pro ind dirty water or if it is heavy cover if it's clear water I add a 15# floro leader red label.
  11. Usually water a energy drink hat polarized glasses phone and instead of bug spray try a thermacell they work great they are scentless and keep most bugs away I even use one during early archery for deer season.
  12. My friend and I were fishing a local pond when he hooked a fish that's was maybe 4# that got hung up in some cattail he took off after it while I held his rod he started wading in I said hey bud your wallets wet he said nope that's my Phone threw it to me to take it apart and he got the fish.
  13. Thanks the ones that do come on them didn't seem very sharp or sturdy!
  14. My favorite jig is a strike king bitsy bug and bitsy flip I like to use all kinds of things for trailers especially zoom speed craws but I bite off the end at the second ring.
  15. Does any one change the hooks out on a heddon super spook? If so what size? And are there any other tricks or tips to this bait?
