At night, black is the way to go. Otherwise, I use either a yellow one or a white one. And I use the biggest size they have. Looks like a saltwater lure. I have a jointed one that's black, but haven't been as lucky with that one.
Jitterbug is probably my third favorite topwater lure behind Heddon Lucky 13 and Luhr-Jensen's Nip-I-Diddee.
Very windy here. Started out really cold, about 30 degrees and about 25 mph. I was still tempted to go out, though. Then it started snowing, in Middle Georgia in March, and the wind gusted up to 50 mph at times. Figured I better stay in. I only have a little pond prowler boat so it's for sure I'd have been capsized, frozen to death or forced to sit in one place while the trolling motor ran down the battery!
