  1. I was there last weekend....not much luck. They are catching them up in the river above Chanoi landing (sp?) Look for deeper water, Wappapelo is a deceiving lake....you will get into an area that looks awesome and find out that you are stirring mud up when you hit the trolling motor...very shallow lake. Go to Conservationcafe.com, they have several tournament results from weeks past and what they are catching them on....should provide you with a good starting point.
  2. I have a 84 Mercury 9.9 and over the weekend it quit "peeing" on me. I replaced the water pump in it about 3 years ago. My question is could it possibly be clogged by debris. I visually inspected the intake and did not see anything. Could flushing the motor help? How does that work, I see a flush plug but it is fairly small....about a half inch in diameter. Do I need some type of attachment? Good thing is i did not run the motor long at all...the next day I started it to trailer it and it started peeing again....kinda had me confused. Any suggestions
  3. I am looking at increasing the storage in my Monarch 14' aluminum boat. One of my thoughts is to cut through the bench seats and add storage compartments. Problem is, they are both filled with foam, which I assume is to help with floatation?? Can I remove some/all of that foam and will it affect my boats floatation.
  4. A buddy and i fished the Bullseye Bait and Tackle tournament out of Spalding on Sunday. We pre-fished Friday night and all day Saturday with some success. Not allot of numbers but several nice keepers. The key was finding them on secondary points in the backs of coves. As long as the point had some depth to it the fish were on it. Anything that was too gradual we zeroed on. I think it was because the water was fluctuating so much. I guess they liked having that easy access to deeper water. Not just any cove but coves that butt up to the river channel. Colorado blade spinner baits, black and blue jigs and Chigger craws did the trick. Everything went well until tournament day when our boat spun a prop early in the tourney. :'( They got a ton of rain last night....its going to be muddy....good luck!
