Out here in Cali,I throw a lot of plastics on 6lb line.My worm rod is a Phenix Don Iovino model that bends almost half way down the blank! I fish a lot of deep water doodling,and the softer tip gives my bait a more subtle action than a stiffer rod with a fast tip.I've set the hook on fish in over 100 feet of water and don't have a problem with the hook set. If you're fishing light line you'll need a more forgiving rod.

Ambassadeur 4600AL.Although it's a 4.7:1 gaer ratio,it's close enough with it's large spool diameter.

I just buy Anise extract and mix it with mineral oil.I put the mixture in a spray bottle and just spray it on my lures.I'll put a few drops in my worm bags to keep them from sticking together.
