Pline mono is great but their Halo fluoro is junk. I had a friend that constantly broke off using Halo. Better off getting Seaguar InvizX or AbrazX.

The Citica 200E is your poor man's Curado. Built on the same frame just less bearings. It's a solid performer. Never tried the Revo S but I'm sure it's comparable. If you can get both reels at that price I would get them both! ;D

I use either a BCR852 or MBR842 casting rod.

It is definitely worth your time. It is just as effective on the shore as it is on a boat. Being on shore or on a boat has no bearing on the action of your bait. You decide how much action your bait will have. Sometimes less is more. You can deadstick it and the flow of the water will give your bait enough action. Good luck!
