  1. I caught a 9+lb bass on 6lb test and my cousin caught 23lb carp on 5lb test
  2. LMAO at 50 secs. That's why it's called rod glow! ;D
  3. CBR845 is perfect for traps and med running crankbaits. I also used it for spinnerbaits as well.
  4. You definitely deserve it. Get the 50E!!!
  5. The SHA for plastics or jigs! 8-)
  6. I haven't tried their spinning rods but I have the Ultra MBX Classic 7" ML. Great rod.
  7. Thanks for the input guys. I was gonna use it as an all around rod for spinnerbaits & maybe light swimbait duties. I don't have a lot of cover where I fish & it's mainly open water. I think the 743 might work for me.
  8. I'm about to place an order in for a Dobyns rod and wondering which of these 2 would be the better choice. I'm leaning towards the DX743. You're input would be greatly appreciated.
  9. - 4" Keitech Live Imact - 4.5" Roboworm Straight Tail - 4" Keitech Shad Impact
  10. Take it! That's a great price for that rod. I have the Loomis DSR820 GLX and the DX701 and I use the 701 more! Plus he's willing to negotiate. The rod used to be $299 but all the Dobyns rods have gone up and retail for it is now $319. Awesome deal.
  11. You might as well sell all your other reels now. That Core50 is a great reel. And I also start with 3 on & 3 off then work my way from there.
  12. Another vote for the Dobyns Extreme DX 702SF. Pricey but not as pricey as the NRX. Very well balanced rod.
  13. That's awesome. Less clutter and shows he has confidence in his baits.
  14. I currently have mine mounted on a MBR782C GLX and toss topwater poppers or small rapala xr8 jerkbaits with it. Also have boca abec7's & carbontex drags installed. Great little finesse reel.
  15. I bought Loomis rods mainly because of their Xpeditor warranty service. But now with an increase of double the original price I will most likely not be purchasing anymore Loomis rods & look at other brands.
  16. I believe he's talking about a rod. I've had a Steez rod broke and just sent it in with a letter and received a new in the mail in a week and a half...
  17. Here's a link on how to take apart a curado. It's the older B series but should still be applicable... http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=28.0
  18. Selling a like new Daiwa Steez spinning rod Model STZ701MLFSA Length: 7' Line Weight: 4-12 lbs Fast Action Price $365/shipped I accept postal money order or paypal add 3.5%... Please IM any questions. Thanks.
  19. It's really good line. I have a spool left of it in the 6lb test. Unfortunately the shop that used to carry it near me went out of business.. :'(
  20. I've never owned a GLX i didn't like... Get one!
  21. Citica is a good reel as it is. Are you stuck on getting a Shimano. Okuma has some pretty good reels for the money. Plus they're giving $20 & $30 rebates. You can get the Cayenne for $139 less $20 rebate and you can get it for the price of a Citica. It has more bearings and also has abec 5 spool bearings. Just a thought. http://www.***.com/Okuma_Cayenne_Casting_Reel/descpage-OCCR.html
  22. Fat straight tails for shakeyheads and regular straight tails for dropshot...
  23. I have the same rod paired up with a TD-Z103 and use it mainly for spinnerbaits & chatterbaits. It's very light but I don't feel it's as sensitive as my Loomis rods.
