I've been looking to upgrade my tacklebox and incorporate more spinners, buzzbaits, and topwaters into my arsenal - here is what I've come up with so far: Buzzbaits: 1 Chartruese, 1 black/blue (different sizes) Spinners - 2 white/ 1 chartruese Frogs - 2 of different colors Topwater - some sort of bug (any suggestions) Pumpkin green, Watermelon red flake and Black/purple worms Any ideas on what else I would need to become a better spinnerbait and buzzbait fisherman?

Thanks, I'll definitely have to check those out. I'm trying to put a list together of the tackle I need to buy for this season and want to add these to it.

Freak baits are batis that don't represent any creature in particular (unlike lizards/frogs/worms/craws etc...). In the most recent issue of Bassin' magazine they suggest switching to these baits instead of using more traditional worms and such. Like I said, I just want to know if anyone has had success with these

I'm from the Waukesha Area and fish some of the lakes throughout Waukesha and Washington counties. I seem to have better success on the less crowded smaller lakes. I recently pulled a 3.5 lb large (last year) out of only a 14 acre lake (real small, i.e. a rowboat and troller).

There are a couple Gander mountain stores near my house in Southeast Wisconsin, but they are much higher priced than Cabela's (a bit of a drive but a much better selection) and sportsman's warehouse. I do recommend Gander Mountain's Black Magic Plastic Worms though - they make a good substitute for the high cost Senkos

Recently I have been reading about the success of so called "freak" baits when nothing else is working. Does anyone know if these baits work well, and if so what kind should I pick up as a student on a tight budget.

Also, how deep do you fish spinners, or does it depend on conditions?

This year, I want to incorporate more spinnerbaits into my arsenal (right now I have most success with plastic worms but am trying to branch out). I'm wondering what brand and colors I should have to keep a good selection for any waters, and also what blade styles. Currently I own a red and black double willow, a brown and orange willow/colorado, and a blue/white/chartruese willow/colorado. any help would be appreciated

Does anyone know of any good bass lakes in South East Wisconsin? I'm trying to find new places to go for this summer.
