I've always been a fan of tossing a Pop'r in after a missed strike. Bass will instinctively look toward the surface to see if they injured the "prey" on the first strike. You have to have one at the ready, though, or they'll move on or retreat back to their cover.
Yup, I sold my Outback on eBay last year, and got inquiries from a guy in Lithuania or one of those eastern Euro places. I just blocked the moron from bidding and reported him, though I highly doubt eBay took any action...
I've never located fish on a finder and caught them. I have used my finder to locate underwater cover and features like creek channels and dropoffs, and then caught fish
Good luck with that. All you can do is try to educate yourself to the traits of your water and the season and conditions, and give it your best shot.
Hey bassmaster that's my old home turf there. I used to put my Bass Hunter in at Upper Barton and fish back up the creek where the big boats couldn't go. My favorite was Beaver Dam, though I haven't been there in 4 or 5 years now, since I moved down east.
The best fishing I ever had in the area was Lake Michie, Durham's old reservoir in Bahama. Do they still open it for fishing?
