  1. Ordered an Eden Pure heater on Dec.14 (internet special $397 w/free shipping) with payment via credit card. Yesterday Dec.21 I received a phone call saying the special $397 deal was not available but if I would wait until late Jan. their newest and latest model, of the heater would be available. Of course the free shipping and price could not be maintained. Later the same day I get an e-mail stating the same thing as the phone conversation, wait for the new model or get my money back, which I chose to do. Talk about Bait and Switch. I replied to the e-mail that their TV ad was still on, their mailers were still being sent out and their TV infomercial Cut your heating bills in half with Bob Villa was on every day. Here is their e-mail response received today. John, I am sorry sir for this inconvenience. Our company though does not have any TV advertising or any kind of advertising other then on-line. We will be refunding your credit card and it may take up to 5 business days to see that credit back onto your card. Thank you, Bethany SOOO if you see this on TV, get a post card advertisement in the mail or see any other form of advertisement for Eden Pure you must be mistaken.
  2. Without doubt some of your best looking baits. That little extra flash from the foil should just kill the bass. You da man.

John, have you considered making a male and female? Anymore realistic and those things could reproduce. Beautiful bait.
  4. Big M and Jig Man, you are correct, if guys would just ask straight up instead of telling the story of how they are doing you a favor by testing a bait for you they might get a different response. Most of the bait makers here are very generous and are always willing to help out new members and future baitmakers, just be honest and don't promise something that has no value.
  5. A couple good winter bass there James. Best time of the year is whenever you get the time to fish. When most guys tell you that bass won't bite in 32deg. water it just means they are home by the fire. Nash, some of the best smallie fishing ni the state is right out your back door, this is float-n-fly time on the White river.
  6. I would always reccommend some type of sealer around your hardware. You can use a drop of epoxy, super glue or in a pinch fingernail polish. Once your topcoat is on your bait will be sealed and no water can soak into the wood. If water can soak into the wood then it will swell and damage the finish or it will rot the wood around the screw eyes and they will pull out, according to "Murphy", it will always be on your biggest fish.
  7. Like them both Ben, great work.
  8. Can I test you guy's new lures................. I am willing to test and make comments on your lures and make productive comments and make suggestions if needed and will help you fine tune it and will test it on the water and during tournaments and will record how many bass I catch on each lure and am willing to pay shipping........... Let's see, @ $20 per bait shipping, I'll just send you a whole tackle box full and you can even keep the box. Most of the builders on this site are more than capable of testing their own baits.
  9. You won't be able to inject 5-Minute epoxy into the hole. I use a thin wire to poke epoxy into the hole, and then I cover the screw eye shaft with epoxy and insert it into the hole. While true 5min. epoxy will set before you get more than a couple of baits finished, with E-tex or Flex Coat I can install the hardware in 20 baits before cleaning the syringe. Using a syringe I can fill the hole competely, from the bottom up, making a bulletproof connection. Ben while you are poking epoxy in with a wire I can fill those 20 baits from the bottom up.
  10. Have no experience with that epoxy but if you have a 15-20 min working time it should work just fine. If you have a super glue with a fine tip applicator that you could get the glue to the bottom of the hole it should also work great. If I'm just building a prototype that is how iI usually do it. If I glue to pieces of pvc together it is with super glue, faster and stronger than epoxy.
  11. When I inject epoxy into the holes for the hardware I use E-tex. E-tex is also what I use for topcoating and it gives me a lot of working time. The extra time makes it easier to clean out the syringe before the epoxy sets. Flex-coat would also work very well for both hardware and topcoat.
  12. Nice looking bait Ben and like Marty, it is also one of my favorite patterns, clean and simple.
  13. I use a super glue for lips and belly weights but for the twisted wire eyes I use epoxy. The reason I use epoxy is it is easier to inject with a syringe than super glue and I can do this while topcoating.
  14. Great looking baits Marty. Action will trump color or pattern any time.
  15. Exceptional work there Marty. Hard to pass up a flatside bait, have one tied on year round.
  16. Beautiful work there Mike, they all look like keepers to me.
  17. As usual Marty, clean uncomplicated baits that will simply catch bass.
  18. Those all look like bass catching machines, great work.
  19. You have been busy. They all look great Marty, but the last two would have to be my favorites.
  20. Nice work, that style of foiling is my favorite.
  21. Talent, there is no way you can reach this level of bait making in such a short time without it, Fantastic work Ben.

Great looking swimmer, really looking forward to seeing it finished.

Exceptional baits there Marty, the first bait has to be my favorite.
  24. WOW, awesome work there Mike.
  25. Thanks guys for your comments on the baits, apprecieate it. The minis are a ball to fish on ultralite, I use them on a 6 1/2'UL action with 1/8 Power Pro. The 1/8 is kind of like fishing with spider web.
