    Wow! Tremendous job!
  2. Awesome! Remarkable job!
  3. Basslover I suggest you do as I do, as well as many others who watch this board, is marvel at the talents and creations of those posting. Find ones you like alot and ask questions on techniques and tricks to produce similar baits yourself. The posts I have found and watched over the years provide good information on components, tricks, etc. each artist is using, or have used, to create these mini mona lisas. My eyes get to walk through a fine art gallery everyday that I check the tacklemaking forum here. Would love to see what creations you would come up with compiling different things modeled after the various artists you enjoy on the site.
  4. Baby brush hogs work great as trailers. I'll most often bite the top 1/2" off before rigging it on. It is my second favorite jig trailer next to a beaver. Full size, t-rigged brush hogs from late spring on, are hard to beat! IMO They hold onto them alot better than jigs as well. I don't use the zoom brand anymore. Found some that are really loaded with salt and garlic and work much better for me than the zoom's did.
  5. I'll sometimes c-rig a tube when working flats or points. Seems to work just fine.
  6. barlows.com has them. I had trouble finding them on their site, but they are in their catalog.
  7. 60 DEGREES!! That's an enferno!! I don't think we're supposed to be out of the 20's for a whole week. I'm jelous! To answer your question: Not knowing more specifics, I'd try some big 10" or bigger worms. Use a split shot on them about 12-18 inches above the line. Slowly crawl it along the bottom. You might also try a fluke or wacky rigged senko on this same rig. If it's windy, get a spinner bait with willow leaf blades, and toss that around. First thing you do though when you get out there is thank God for the opportunity to get too fish in open water, and not through the ice!
  8. A full size brush hog. Just bite the top off past the arms, or the bulkier beaver baits will slow the fall down as well.
  9. 1. Win top honors of Mr. Bass in my club. 2. Get my daughter to catch her first bass. 3. Find a woman who likes to fish as much as I do, and has enough money to pay for it all! I have a good chance to hit two of those anyway! ;D
  10. Smithville is really turning on again. If I was in KC I'd be driving a little to Clinton, and getting on Truman. Mozingo is good, but it's NW part of the state. Also around KC is LaCygne which you could fish right now. Power plant lake straight south of KC in Linn County. It has big fish in it! Also hear good things about Lake Olathe. You are around alot of good bass water!
  11. GMAN thanks for the reply. Are there sources that can create production jig molds from stratch? If so do they need a solidworks drawing or solid model before they can create a mold? I'd be interested in creating something similar to these, with different hook sizes, and a few other modifications. The line tie on these are awesome. Thanks in advance for any help.
  12. I'm looking for painted or unpainted jigs in bulk, that have a head and line tie similar to the Terminator Pro Style Top Secret jigs. They have a recessed, horizontal line tie and I am having a hard time locating a source to buy these on line. I am wanting to put my own skirts on them. Would you guys have any ideas for me on where I could find something similar? Here is a link to Terminators website for the jig I'm referencing above. http://www.terminatorlures.com/06site/pros_top_secret_jigs.html
  13. Ring Fry please be sure to post a report when you get back from LaCygne. There is a group of us planning a late December trip down there, and possibly Coffey County as well.
  14. How far you willing to drive? Burchard and Iron Horse (Dubois) should be real good before ice. Also get on your local NRD site and check out there lakes as well. We have a couple NRD lakes around where I live that are awesome. Also heard Olive Creek up by Crete is producing alot of fish.
