anybody from new jersey out there?
I live in the corner of Morris Co.,where morris, sussex, and passaic meet. I got the Newark Watershed reservoirs in my back yard, Hopatcong 10 minutes away, in other words, no shortage of fishing waters, but when I have to catch a LMB, the little slimy no name pond down the road never dissapoints. Got 5 out of there last night in about 20 minutes, no monsters, but bass none the less.

Fishing in Westchester, NY
You have to actually leave your boat at the reservoir, chained to a tree......I kid you not! Ok I guess, if you got an old aluminum laying around. I actually had those passes and had friends who left there boat there. A big storm came through one night, next time they went up to go fishing (driving from Jersey), a large tree had fallen over and crushed the boat LOL! :'(

As an ex-Bergen Co. guy, my early season shore fishing 1-2 punch were, Ramapo Reservation: the lower lake gives up a lotta bass to rubber worms. Darlington Co Park: Loaded with big bass, as it gets hotter, it gets covered in a veg mat, but floating worms and Sluggo's worked on top of the mat, bring explosive suprises
