  1. Nice fish!!! Only thought smallies like that lived in the Scituate Reservoir...
  2. Bassnajr - completely agree. I have been out a few times this week and the beds have not produced anything. The fish are there just very "spooky". All of my fish this week did not include any bed fish although I tried. :-/
  3. Thanks Mepps. It was a very quick cell phone camera shot and back in the water with her to get her spawning done...and make me more bass. ;D
  4. Unfortunately, the best is no longer with us...Billy Westmoreland...RIP
  5. Decent day yesterday although the weather was nasty the fish didn't seem to mind. I know we have been talking about spawners here, this one was still full of eggs, weather must have backed her up a bit.
  6. Guys, looking to find some Fleck spinnerbaits locally. Time to restock from a bunch I bought a while back. Can't seem to locate them in RI, would be happy to find some here or in nearby MA. Any ideas?
  7. Sorry, been away a couple days, thanks for all the feedback. As I said in an earlier post, I have been through the small boat to big boat phase and am considering the Dolphin for a small boat option again. To me, it has alot of the bells and whistles of the big boat but will allow me to get to some of my small pond spots in RI. I will also likely be accompanied by one of my kids so I like the stability that the wide beam provides. I am not criticizing the upside of a nicely fitted jon, but, I think that works better for one or two more experienced fisherman who aren't worried about going "swimming" if someone makes a sudden movement ;D. Again, I appreciate all the feedback and would rather be on a big lake in Maine with a big boat, but......then reality kicks in.
  8. Thanks Stew, I am seriously considering as well, wish there were some on the forums that have experience with the boat. It might just be that you and I have to buy them to see for ourselves.
  9. Just signed up on the website, long time bass fisherman from RI. I am wondering if anyone has any information on the Sun Dolphin Pro 120 Jon Boat that is sold through Cabela's. I owned a small boat about 15 years ago (Water Spider) that was ideal for some of the smaller waters here in RI/MA, graduated to a Grumman V-hull bass boat and am looking to "go small" again. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The boat is reasonably priced and looks like a good option but would love some feedback if anyone has any experience with them. Thanks.
