  10. Caught it up to my Uncle's pond. He has walleye, small mouth, large mouth, crappie, blue gill, sunnies, and perch. He said I could go up whenever I want to, so when the creek is a mud puddle I will be heading up that way for sure. The fish there love rapala's!

  20. Hello all, I am new (fairly new) to Bass Resource and have only been reading and exploring the site lately and have now started to post. Seems like a great place for Bass fisherman alike to tell stories, seek advice, and generally talk of this great hobby. I am 27yo from Gowanda, NY, and am active fisherman of the Cattaraugus Creek in Gowanda. I have been fishing for over 20 years and have made some great friends along the way. I had actually found the site from doing a search on the 'ol Google express and actually found a buddy DAVIS whom I haven't spoken with or really seen since... I believe since his wedding in '03!!... Well, just wanted to get this out there and happy fishing all. Denea

I have always had success using a variety of Mister Twisters in clear water of 2ft or less. Or are Twisters considered a lure and not a bait?
  23. I haven't fished up towards the Ford Plant, and don't really plan on it anytime soon. A good spot everyone seems to pass up is the stretch of the Cattaraugus Creek from Lake Erie up creek to Gowanda, NY. The Cattaraugus Indian Reservation has a lot great fishing holes, but comes with a separate license you need to purchase (I believe it's $40.00 now). Even though the NYSDEC gives free licenses to Native Americans in NY State, you are required to purchase a license to fish on there territory. I live in Gowanda, and have been fishing the Catt Creek for the last 20 years, and recently (3-5 years) the Bass have really been coming up in huge schools. I have been out 5 times so far this year hitting up the same hole, catching 5-7 bass and the occasional rainbow/steelhead on the 'ol mister twister per trip. If you ever get time, you should check out the creek
