10 times!
I'm not sure how I got all the bruises. I was on the lake over 12 hours with CJ driving the boat. ;D I'm not that good at balance yet and I almost fell off several times. That can probably account for some of them. If I could just get that good posture thing down! I'll be working on that. Anyway, it was a great day for me. I would do it all again tomorrow despite the bruises.

10 times!
Thanks to everyone who gave me great advice on setting the hook. CJ and I went fishing Saturday and I set the hook 10 times. I am bruised from head to toe, but I caught ten fish. I just wanted to let y'all know the advice must have worked. Thanks, Teria

What to do in Branson, MO.???
Pierce Arrow is a good clean family show. They sing some, the comedy is what I like about it. It's really funny. Hope this helps. Teria

What to do in Branson, MO.???
Where to begin. My In-laws manage a hotel in Branson Mo. I go there several times a year. There is the Titanic it's fairly new. It was there last September. There is also a new com. show. I will have to ask CJ the name of it. Pierce arrow is my all time fav. show. I also like the Kirby Vanburch (Magic Show) show. Your son might enjoy that one. Lots of animals, there is motorcycles that fly through the air, and at the end of the show it snows on everyone. Defiantly one of my top favorites. The best place to eat is the Outback. It's different from just the steak house. It has unique food. Alligator tail is the best appetizer they have. The Ice cream Shop across from the Grand Palace is all that and some more! There are two theme parks in Branson. I would suggest that you go to Branson USA vs Silver Dollar City. They have a really cool fireworks and laser light show on the lawn at night. My kids love it. My daughter was just around a year old when we took her and she couldn't keep her eyes off the show. It's also free and when your in Branson free is always a good thing. I like the Dixie Stamped it's a good show. Last time we went CJ and I were picked to go into the middle of the arena and have a stick horse race. REALLY.... embarrassing! I think my fav. part of that show is the food. It's good! Well I have rambled on long enough. I'm starting to sound like a travel agent for Branson Mo. Hope I could help. Teria

Should I or not?
Wow! I can't get over all the great advice I have received. I'm really thankful for everyone's opinion. I have already learned some new things. Last Sunday, CJ and I went out on KY Lake fishing with Tammy Richardson. I was fishing and got a bite. I was to embarrassed to set the hook just in case it wasn't a bite. She looked at me and said "I saw that girl". So evidently it was in fact a bite. She said a pretty good one too! I'm frustrated that I just did nothing. I guess it's all a learning process and eventually in time it will all come together for me. Thanks, Teria

I have only one question. How did you get out of BPS only spending 75.00? That is amazing!

Should I or not?
I'm using a kistler 6' 6 med heavy rod with a BC RevoS reel. I'm not sure about the line. What ever CJ puts on there for me. I know CJ is very busy. Every time I get to go fishing he is usually pre- fishing for a tournament. He don't have a lot of time to show me things I would like to learn, but He has helped me out some. I thought I would ask the Bass resource family for help. I figured I would get it and I was right. Everyone has different suggestions and I will take them all. Thanks again, Teria

Should I or not?
Kent, I Have been using soft plastics since I started fishing. I did use a shallow running crank bait once. I did catch a fish. There was no setting the hook to that. I just threw it and I had a fish. Do you think there are different rods and reels that would better determine the feel of a bite? If so what kind? Thanks for the tips, Teria

Should I or not?
I'm having trouble with setting the hook. I don't always know if it's a fish on my line. I tend to get excited when I think I'm getting a bite. So it ends up with me forgetting to reel my slack or not keeping my pole the right way. I went fishing the other day and I was made fun of for trying to set the hook. I thought since I am new at this, it would be better to try to set the hook even if I wasn't sure it was a fish or a rock. I sure would hate to miss a big Bass, because I was too embarrassed that it might be a rock. Anyway my question is should I wait and make sure it's a fish, then it might be gone or should I look like a fool and keep on trying to set that hook?

Girlfriend Complaining About My Fishing...
This has been interesting... I have been reading this, and I think the situation can be solved simply by letting her know she is just as important as fishing. I understand both point of views. I am a women and yes we tend to sometimes be clingy. I think the problem is when a girl gets the feeling that fishing is #1. No girl wants to be #2 in her mans life. Have you tried to take her? Even if she don't like fishing, make her feel welcome to come. Tell her you would love for her to join you. For a few weeks be extremily annoying about it. Tell her you would have more fun if she would go.( Even if you wouldn't ). The point is to make her feel included. Truth be known that might be all she needs to back off and let you get back to fishing. It took me 10 years to realize I love to fish. I wish I had been asked a few times to join my husband. All I know to say is what a waist of nine years.... Good luck with your situation. I hope my input could help. Teria

New Girl on the Board!
Thanks to everyone for the welcome. Ya'll have made me feel right at home here. I do appreciate that. I found the Fishing Flea Market. What a great idea! There is so much around my house, I could open my own Bait and Tackle Shop. I would like to give an extra thanks to Bassn Blvd, for the heads up on the new order. With the new order coming I don't feel as guilty about listing in the Fishing Flea Market. :-X CJ should be fine with this. From what I hear I think most of it was all just give to him anyway. LOL! Teria 8-)
