  1. BPS sold out of the 6'6 MH. Glad I ordered mine 3 days ago. Should be here soon. I can't wait.
  2. So as not to upset anyone, I promise to personally jump in the pond and hunt down the fish thus not leaving my line in the water, If I ever get spooled. Now everyone should be happy and I can go on just getting by.
  3. Wow, they censored me. Sorry, didn't know pi$$ed was a bad word.
  4. Who ticked in your corn flakes. How many fish have ran the line off of your entire reel? None, that is what I thought! IF a fish EVER runs all my line off I will start tying the line on, until then I will use this method. I am quite sure I can run a big bass down with my trolling motor if they are ripping off that much drag. Doubt that will happen.
  5. I just ordered one. I have had it two or three weeks. It is crazy light and super smooth. The only draw back is that it reels so smooth that it is weird. I kind of like some kind of feedback/resistance when reeling a bait in. There is none in this reel. That is probably appealing to most people but is a little hard to get used to to me. Not a bad problem to have to get used to I guess.
  6. If that is all then this is a good deal. I like the optional balance system and the cork foregrip can't add that much weight. I bought one last night and am feeling good about the purchase provided that this is all that is different.
  7. I've got an old Normark 15lb digital that is about 5 years old that is awesome. I will cry when it dies.
  8. I am throwing 20lb Power Pro braid on my MG 50 and loving it.
  9. Last years model is on sale for $129.00 online!!!!! I couldn't tell any difference except for the foregrip is cork on the old and not cork on the new. Seems to have the same carbon wrap and recoil guides. Same 85 million modulous fibers. Does anyone know if there are any differences in last years model and this years? Bye the way they only have 6'6 med. and med/hvy.
  10. Save your tape and just stick it in the spool hole.
  11. Texas rig a 7.5 in red shad with a 1/8 oz sinker. They are awesome. You can't beat red shad culprits.
  12. I just stick the line into one of the ports in the spool and then start spooling loosly at first (so as not to pull it out) then after two or three rotations I then spool as usuall while holding the line tight. I have never had a problem using this method. I know that if a fish starts stripping off line and gets me down that low I will be screwed. However, I doubt that would ever happen. If he gets me that low and I can't chase him with the trolling motor then he deserves to swim to see another day.
  13. I think it is just marketing hype just like red hooks. The water most people fish is less than 12 feet anyway. And I think it starts becoming invisible at 12 feet, not IS totaly invisible at 12 feet.
  14. I bought some PowerPro 20lb line last week. I fished it this weekend and so far I am loving it. It is so much more sensitive and it throws great. I used it several years ago but was having problems with dig-in. I would throw the lure and suddenly it would stop in mid air and die. The line had dug in to the rest of the line on the spool about 30 feet into the spool. So far I am not having this problem with the PowerPro. If it keeps performing like this I will be hooked. Ha! I had a couple of rods that are a little flemsy and was having a problem setting the hook on far cast with mono. The braid stops this. Loving it.
  15. I am new and I know this has probably been done before but bear with me. I tried a search for the topic and didn't see anything. I would choose a black Zoom Trick Worm. Weightless on a 3/0 Gamakatsu hook it is deadly in shallow water. It can be fished wacky style for a change up. You can also fish it weighted for an awesome deep water bait. What would your one lure be and why?
  16. Black Zoom Trick Worm fished weightless on a 3/0 hook. Throw it in the shallows and let it sink. Twitch it a time or two and let it sink again. Try it and if it doesn't work I will buy them back from you. 5 in Senko fished weightless - same method.
  17. Do you guys remember the super plastics that came out a few years ago like the Strike King 3x baits and Terminator plastics. I bought a couple of packs and loved the durability of these lures. They also floated well. However, they got sticky and smelled like a garbage dump. They also stretched so much on the cast that it felt really weird. I sure wish they could come up with a compromise between those old baits and standard plastics. One fish per worm get expensive.
  18. Couldn't you just peg a worm on a standard worm weight an be the same thing? Then you wouldn't have to spend any extra money!
  19. Has anyone tried the Kicker Fish wacky worms? These things are awesome. The problem you always have with wacky worming is the hook is exposed but these bad boys have an extra peice of plastic to place the hook in (they are "T" shaped). I bought a pack last year and started fishing them this spring and love them. They work perfect on a Gamakatsu 3/0 EWG hook. Anyone else using them?
  20. Lunker Legends sounds the best so far. We have won the tournament two years in a row, so I guess we are legends (in our own minds). Masterbaiters- that's funny! I also like the Nads! Sweetbeev, Whats up with that comment!

GSP should kill him. He is lightning fast. In his last bout with Hughes he kicked him in the head and knocked him out. After the fight Hughes said he thought a punch knocked him out untill he saw the replay. DANG, thats fast.
  22. Crap. That was supposed to be BPS rods not PBS.
  23. Gary77 and Hotrod share my opinion. I LOVE the PBS finesse rods. I have the 6'6 ml and 6'6 m. They are super light and sensitive. I use the ml to throw weightless trick worms and the med. to throw Senkos. You can catch them on sale for $70. For that price the Med. action would be perfect for you.l Hotrod, I am with you bro. If they made one in MH I would buy several. I have a Pro Qualifer which has the same graphite modulus count but it still feels heavier.
  24. Neat article by G Loomis. Sort of lets you know what they are going to say when you ask them to replace a rod for you.
  25. I need a clever name for my team. I put on a local bass fishing tournament with a few of my friends and each two man team comes up with their team name. Me and my brother in law have been "The Bus Drivers" for two years now. Why you ask? Cause we take kids to school when it comes to fishing! Ha! Anyway, I am growing tired of this name. Any ideas for a clever name.
