  1. I have never had a chance to hold a carrot stick so I can't comment on the sensitivity of it. But man they sure are UGLY!!!!
  2. It really sucks that this happens. If we would just buy a quality product and then stick with it companies would be fine. Instead we have to run out a buy what ever new a company comes out with. Most of which is just a new name and color scheme and a nice price increase. I myself have been gulity. We just love to buy new stuff.
  3. Pull as many as you need to throw the lure you are using an not backlash. I think it is best to always pull the two opposite of each other to keep things balanced. So either 2, 4, or all 6. There is another thread debating the two reels you are trying to decide between. Good luck.
  4. You pull the little boots out to the end of the arms (of the star you saw) for the most braking power (slower spinning spool). Think about it this way. When you see people figure skating and they start spinning round and round. When they have their arms out they spin slow when they have their arms in towards the center or their body the spin really fast. Having said that, I really hate figure skating and no I am not gay!
  5. I do like the light weight of the reel. The Scion I own is around 7 ounces and it really seems to make a difference. I fish mostly weightless plastics and lightly weighted worms (1/8th ounce or less). The Scion is on a BPS medium light finesse rod and it is perfect for throwing a weightless trick worm. It is really an awesome set up. Man, I need to be fishing!!!!!
  6. Hello, I am new to the forum. I currently own a Pinnacle Scion magnesium reel and love it. They don't make them anymore so I was considering buying a Shimano Chronarch MG 50 (very simialar to the Scion). Is this reel really worth $250? Let me tell you a little about myself to help frame the question. I am a weekend angler who only competes in a local river fishing tournament that I put on with about 10 of my friends. I fish hard however, every weekend 7 1/2 months of the year. I teach school so in the summer I fish 2 or three days a week. I have the reel mentioned above, a 2 Cabelas Podigy reels, and 2 Cabelas Tournament ZX reels. I love the Scion and the Prodigy reels, the Tournament ZX reels feel a little cheap but are alright. Is the Shimano worth the $250 price tag. If so, what makes it so much better? Can I expect it to last longer, cast further, etc. I know alot of you guys use there reels, so help me please.
