I found that the best spot to park (if you want a short walk to the stump fields) is the circle between the single family homes and townhomes off of Deerlee. If you're coming from 7100 onto hooes, make that second right at the light; Valleyfield, then left on Deerlee. Don't park in the visitor spots at the THs, you could get towed. Hey Rondef, where did you find that hawg? Doesn't look like you were in the stump fields from the picture. Nice fish!

Nice Fish! I'm a newbie to this forum and somewhat to fishing. Started fishing seriously last season, although I have been a resident of NoVA almost all my life, just discovering its freshwaters recently. Today will be my first time at Mercer any suggestions/tips? I've already put in a couple crankbaits in my pouch, which I didn't have, based off your post .
