I have a Minn Kota 3 bank , 10 amp per bank battery charger.It is about 1 1/2 years old. It worked fine until last week when the red light on bank 3 went on, telling me to check connection. The fuse in the in line holder was burnt, I replaced it , but when I went to hook it back up it sparked and burnt the fuse again.I didn't mix any wiring or anything like that. I took the leads off of bank one and put them on the battery in question with no problems.Does this mean that bank 3 in my charger has gone bad? Any help or advice would be helpful. Just an FYI about BPS in Foxboro.I bought an internal gas tank off the BPS website that I changed my mind about. I went to the store to return it and the manager told me it was against the law for him to take it back because I did not pay Mass sales tax on it. Sorry if this is off topic but has anyone else heard of this?

I have some other med heavy rods that I use in some situations. I would also use this as a pitching and frog rod. It would be the only heavy action rod that I have. The coontail is pretty thick in most of the ponds that I fish, however, the depth is rarely more than 15 feet.

Hi guys. I am looking at buying a Daiwa Cielo 7ft. heavy with fast action. The rod will in be used for casting 1/2 or 5/8 oz. jigs in and around the natural coontail filled waters of the Northeast.Does anyone have experience with this rod? Any other ideas? This rod is on sale at TW for a pretty good savings. Thanks in advance for replies.

I saw Ike rig them sideways on a scroungerhead.The beaver rigged this way has the same profile as a baitfish.I tried this rig in my home waters and can varify it's effectiveness.

I was fishing a team tournament, 5 fish limit. My partner and I had a rough day. I caught our big fish for the day, about a 3 lb largemouth with 10 minutes left to fish.I landed the fish, opened the livewell,and threw the fish back in the lake!!! Talk about a brain fart.I have been friends with my fishing partner for 35 years, he said the look on my face was priceless. We still laugh about it to this day.

Your choice of a 12gauge is perfect. I would also agree with Bantam about using #6 or #8 shot to avoid over penetration inside your house. Did anyone catch game 3 of the Bruins/Canadians game last night?Was anyone else zoomed to hear the Canadians fans loudly booing our national anthem? They did it last year also but when the series came back to Boston, we cheered the Canadian anthem louder just to prove a point.It is kind of funny to see 15,000 Frenchmen waiving white towels though, guess it's just natural. Unless you like BPS brand stuff, I think they are close on rods and reels. BPS has more of a lure selection. Cabelas wins hands down on customer service.

I live in Rhode Island,where our state record largemouth is 10.6 pounds. If someone here catches a 5 or 6 pounder is that the equivilent of catching a 10 or 11 pounder in Florida, Texas or California?I say it is , what are your thoughts?

Try the cape. It has some great smallie fishing, and is not over fished. I've had good luck at Ashumet and John's pond. Look for a series of books called Bass Bets. It is written by Ted Ancher and has a wealth of information on ponds all over Mass and the rest of N.E.
