Those who are tubers... What fish finder are you using and how do you like it? Right now I'm looking at the Hummingbird Fishing Buddy and the Hummingbird PiranhaMax 215PT. Anyone using these or something else, i'd love to hear some recommendations and/or reviews. This will going on a Fish Cat 4 and would like it to be relatively cheap (<$200) and give accurate readings. I do NOT want to use of the things you have to cast out. It must have a screen with temp/depth/fish readings. Let me know what you are using and how you like it. Rob

I have been given this rod by the grandpa and don't know what I should use it for. I also have a Revo S baitcaster to go with it. The combo feels very light but I wonder what I would use a 6' rod for? The specs are: 6-0' Medium Fast Lures = 1/4 - 5/8 oz. Baits = 8 - 14 lb. I have been used to using 7' rods for a while, but I am just getting starting with baitcasting. I generally fish from shore and a float tube and very rarely I get out on a boat. If this were your rod, what would you use it for?

I just read my post, and realized this doesn't totally make sense. What I'm trying to get at is how you target bass using bluegill imitations? What are your favorite bluegill-type lures to fool LMB? Rob

Hey all... I'm pretty new to the board and was wondering what is your go-to bluegill presentation? I'm interested in seeing what everyone else is using. I used to kill them with the Castaic Bluegill with the soft-tail, but I'm looking for newer alternatives. My first purchase will probably be the Mattslures Bluegill, but looking for more alternatives. And BTW not just swimbaits...include your favorite crankbaits, plastics, etc. Thanks much Rob

What drop shot weights do you find yourself buying these days? I need to try the ones that just clip to the line. Robert

I had a good bite on one of these over the weekend...only the take by the fish was so subtle I missed the hookset cause I went to twitch the bait off the bottom and all I felt was dead weight... Needless to say I farmed this fish... When you get bite on this, are they very subtle takes or are they inhaling these baits? OR is this more so just dependent on the fishing conditions at the time?
