How Many Rods
I'm gong to be fishing in Norther Wisconsin this summer on my annual trip. I want to use a slip-float rig with a 5" leech under it. Can I legally fish this rig while I'm using a spinning rod with a tube?

Deps Basirisky Frog
Kinda weird looking but what the heck right? Has anyone ever fished one before? They talk about an older model formally sold in the US, so I'm just wondering if any of you guys had ever fished one before

Grass Minnow
I fished the Grass Minnow for 9 days, never got a hit so I can't attest to the effectiveness of this lure. It sure looks great in the water though....

Is fishing harmful?
True story, partner caught a fish on a senko, fish broke line, I cast out there not more than a minute later, caught the same fish with my partners bait hanging from his mouth, hook 'n all....so I personally do not think that cartilage transmits pain....

Ill be up there too with a buddy!.. we go to minocqua and boulder junction area, ill be there first week in june and first week in july. watch out for them muskie to rip off the grass minnow, i never throw anything im not willing to lose after i had 3 LC's bite off by muskies. : Have you ever fished Kentuck? Lots of Musky in that lake. Hopefully the muskies will leave the grass minnows alone ;D

Is a more sensitive rod really necessary?
They are VHS tapes, purchased thru BassPro Shop. The first is titled "Bigmouth" and the 2nd is called "Feeding Habits of Bass". I've also got all of the Hook 'n Look videos and in those, Kims' son is constantly telling him when the fish has the lure/bait in its mouth. What I learned from the 1st two videos was that a bass can inhale a lure and spit it out before the fisherman even knows he's there. At my advanced age, every bit of help I can get is most appreciated, thus I tend to use sensitive rods and fluoro or braid to feel the bite.

Is a more sensitive rod really necessary?
Recall the video where the guy underwater filming came up and asked the guy doing the fishing why he wasn't setting the hook as the bass were taking the lure in their mouths? It was shot down in Florida I believe. To me, that was reason enough to go to GLX's Hook 'n Look does the same thing if you've ever seen that show. The guy filming underwater often tells the guy in the boat that "he's got it" So, maybe there is something to be said for sensitivity after all?

Barbless Hooks
Ok then, barbless really seems the way to go....which leads then to another question? If your fishing barbless, how well do soft plastics like Senko's stay on the hook?
-
Barbless Hooks
Thanks all for the comments. Thanks BigBassGuy for posting the link to the regs. I'm still considering using a barbless hook on my soft plastics rod but now I won't have to change hooks on hard baits. I see the way to go is to just crimp the barb down, that makes more sense then spending money

Barbless Hooks
Wisconsin requires Barbless Hooks from the 3rd of May until the 19th of June, catch and release only in Northern waters when fishing for bass. I'm aware that Gamakatsu makes treble and standard worm hooks that are Barbless. My question is, would it be better just to crush down the barbs on hooks and lures I already use, OR...purchase NEW Barbless Hooks and install them? Has anyone had much success fishing with Barbless Hooks in the past? I think that fish would have a much easier time throwing a crank bait with Barbless Hooks! Your thoughts?
