  1. The easiest way for me is to cut the hook in half with wire cutters or something, then just slide the hook out. You'll have to your sacrifice your hook, but it hurts the turtle way less than trying to just yank it out. I guess you could also try crushing the barbs down and see if that makes it easier to slide the hook out.
  2. How did you come across the snake? Where you not paying attention and kinda stumbled into it? Did it come at you? A friend and I were fishing a few weeks ago and we spotted a cottonmouth about 15 feet from us. We ran and got somebody we know who lived close by and he brought his shotgun. That snake won't be bothering anybody now. But I am nervous about running into more of them.
  3. I've been having awesome luck with Zoom flukes in the albino white color.
  4. It can kill them, they can get them stuck in their stomach preventing them from digesting any food and they'll starve to death. There's an article on this site about but I can't post it....just go the "about bass" section on the main page then scroll down to the "fish and lake management" section and about four articles down there's one called "skinny fish, big reason"....or just wait for somebody to post it.
