  1. I would have to agree that Potholes Reservoir is a good choice. It is a very good fishery for Largemouth, smallmouth and walleye. As well, they have been working hard to restore panfish and add to the trout population. there is also alot of public land around for bird hunting. mardon resort is the main resort on the lake, and also close to many of the houses they are putting in that are reasonably priced.
  2. pre spawn, northwest US ( Central washington), they are not pulling water, lake level is pretty steady right now. Weather forcast is 70 degrees and sunny. Week leading up to so far has been 68-72 degree's , no clouds, down to about high 30's, low 40's at night
  3. Well here is the short of it, and i will try to provide as much detail as I can in a little segment. My buddy and I are fishing only our 2nd ever tournament this weekend. We chose a lake we have fished all of our lives ( usually only fished it late spring to early fall). we went out to pre-fish this weekend, and the area we usually fish is 10 feet under water. This is a man-made reservior that usually holds lots of largemouth in sand dunes with sage brush, and beaver huts. With this much submerged vegetation to hold fish, where do I even start to look for them at? The reservoir is clear water, surface temp 58-61 degrees the last 2 days. Just wondering where to look for these fish at, and what styles of fishing to go after them with. We did pick up a few on jig'n'pigs, and 1 on a lizard, but pretty slow compared to normal. thanks
