  2. im going fishing at bull shoals lake this summer...either july or august and i had some questions. first...iv never fished a clear water lake before and im curious about color and presentation. top waters? spinners? crankbaits? live bait? rubber worms? speaking of worms....iv been reading about the walking worm lure. iv read different things. some people say its the best thing since the invention of the wheel and then iv read its pure junk. infomercial crap. has anyone here actually tried them? it sounds good on paper but then again for all i know it may be toilet paper. is natural colors beter in clear water or do they still hit chartruse and brighter colors? thanks for your help.
  3. hi! im new here. my name is grant. also known as darth hulapopper. my apprentice who is currently chewing up one of my new socks is darth buscuit. lord buscuit to you. hes a mexican jack. which means hes half chiuhahua half jack russel. i was hoping to ask a few questions about bull shoals lake. im going on vacation in either july or august and i intend to do alot of fishing up there. furthermore its not just a vacation its also a scouting party to find a place to live in mountain home. when i was 5 years old i lived with my grandparents in bull shoals, and d**n the luck, the family moved to lawton oklahoma. im 34 now but iv never forgotten how beautiful it was up there. i remember my grandpa taking me to the marinas and hed hold my hand while i leaned over the docks and watched the fish. i remember being able to hear the river from our front yard, tho i cant remember where our house was and my grandparents arent around to ask anymore. being 5 years old my grandma wouldnt let me anywhere near the river. all my life iv wanted to go back. well nows my chance. iv never been much of a bass fisherman cause the lakes here suck, and i havent been fishing in 3 years, mostly cause i dont have the time. im looking to change that. im moving to mountain home through my work and i intend to spend the rest of my life fishing and hunting on my days off. but i digress. i wanted to ask about the best places to fish there. im going after everything. bass, crappie, catfish, ect. i know thats not everything but im mostly a nightcrawler on a bobber kind of guy. i have fair luck with catfish. i never caught anything huge. anyway, i was hoping there would be someone out there who could give me the inside scoop. iv never fished a clear water lake. best color? best depth for mid to late summer? im an ametuer in every sense of the word so any helpful tips on location and presentation on ANYTHING would be very much appreciated. thank you. God bless, darth hulapopper and darth buscuit.
