I just wanted to thank you all for your response to my question regarding night fishing on the white river. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of responses I actually received. So once again, thank you for your input. Update: I went over to a slough that runs off of the river tonight after work and threw a small swimming minnow on some spinning tackle. I was only able to fish for about 30 minutes because of duties tomorrow so I just fished off of the bank at a good access point. I actually caught a decent bass, about a 2 pound largemouth. I got several other hits but they just didn't get on it. I'll probably use a larger sized spinner bait on the next trip so they can zone in better on my presentation. Due to my busy schedule I have been forced to consider doing a great deal of my bass fishing at night. The closest body of water for me to access is the White River near Batesville AR. I have some success on this river during daytime hours, but it's still early in the year and the water temp. is still very low. The White is a cool river anyway but especially this time of year. Am I wasting my time nightfishing this early in the year on the river? Any advice or tips would be appreciated.
