What is the general concensus on the Quantum Accurist reel?
Don't know about that one but the Energy PT 7:1 is one of the smoothest, if not the smoothest I own. I also own a Revo STX. I like them both but the energy is tops and can be bought for $100 or less right now. It was regularly $189 or $199.

Quantum Energy sales at Dicks
I bought one a while back. They are fantastic reels. I have fluoro on mine. It is unbelievably smooth. I think I may like it as good, if not better than my Revo stx.

Question for Saltwater/Inshore People
Most of my fishing is freshwater. However, I do a fair amount of saltwater inshore fishing while traveling. I need a new setup for freshwater flippin (braid line). Could I use an Energy PT (inshore) rig with a medium heavy to heavy rod for flipping freshwater AND inshore stuff? I researched and it seems to be a no-brainer. Am I missing something? Thanks!

I need a new scale
Mine is black plastic with an aluminum (silver) face and back. It's probably the same one just a different color. I've been fishing for 25 years. Thta is the first scale I believe I've ever owned. Makes me wonder how many fish might have weighed more than I thought, or less.

I need a new scale
I recently just bought the little scale that isn't digital. It's been around forever. I looked at the lip grip digitals but couldn't justify the difference between $4 and $60 for the scale. However, I'm sure I will end up with the $60 version soon enough.

Need something new
If they are accustomed to the subtle presentation of soft plastics, I would try to noisy, annoying cranks.

Tournament Partner
When I fish Kentucky and Barkley, I am usually around the dams. In fact, I will be there this weekend camping at Canal.

Tournament Partner
or general fishing partner......Anyone looking for someone in the Nashville area? I fish Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, Defeated Creek Cordell Hull Dam, and various smaller spots in the Kentucky/Tennessee area. I look forward to hearing from someone!

Falcon boxes=awesome!
I agree.....I have 4 or 5 of the Falcon boxes. Eventually, I will replace all of mine with Falcon. I was able to find a hiking backpack to use for my tackle carrier. It will hold about 12 boxes and lots of other stuff in the pockets. I wanted a backpack because it is easier to get to and from the boat AND it is great when I am not in the boat. Also, Falcon boxes are about $2 cheaper at Academy Sports over BPS.

Rod for topwater
I like a medium or medium heavy 7'. It is a tough one because a medium is good to allow them to take the lure through any cover on top. On the other hand, the stiffer rod may be better for pulling them out of that cover.

Carrot Stix versus...
I have a BPS M/H JMS 7'. I really like it. It was on sale for $99.I also have a StCroix Avid M. I like it as well. I prefer medium heavy for just about everything but a medium is good from time to time. Some reviews of BPS gear say it is great. Some say it is bad. I have nothing bad at all to say about either one of them.

How much do you spend on fishing stuff?
When averaged over the entire year, my number goes down significantly. I buy lots between March and October but very little to none in the winter months.
