  1. well today a friend and i went fishing off this dock and i casted out along the shore maybe 20 feet out and about 10 feet out i felt the hit it was a huge fish i started fighting it, and soon after reeled it in. The fish was 28 inches long and at least 4 pounds. well i pulled it outta the water and lipped it and i guess i didnt have a tight enough grip cuz he wiggled free and fell on the dock i dove after this fish and was army crawling on the dock i wasnt gonna let him go without a picture so i finally grasped him again and lipped him, i put my other hand under the belly for a little more control, after i thought he had calmed down i reached for my phone and asked my friend to take a picture but as soon as my hand got in my pocket he started fighting again and got free. So now i don't have a picture =/ but catching that fish was probably the best feeling in the world
  2. You've made very valid points and they do have me thinking about this experiment as a whole and whether or not i should try and proceed with this. I'll probably still go for and it keep researching but maybe not use the experiment for science fair
  3. I know i probably wont find a definite answer to this question but i was thinkin about maybe making my topic not so broad and more specific to a certain pond and my purpose would be to find out how air pressure affects fish in this local pond and take these findings and hopefully use them to help with experiments in other ponds and lakes around the world
  4. well today was my first day of experimenting and it went ok didnt catch to many fish but it was fun and yea Paul i took what u said into consideration and im using three baits mainly, a t-rig, a top water minnow and then a medium diving crank bait hopefully tomorrow will be better
  5. well fellas my buddy and I are going to try and solve the question with about a million threads. and that question is "how does air pressure affect fish" My friend and I are going to fish a select pond and fish it in different weather conditions and try to put an answer to this question once and for all. I'm using my knowledge of the scientific method to help me with this experiment. wish me luck and hopefully i can find an answer to this. and maybe science fair this year will be a lot better ;D

  13. hey man its great to see that ur passin on the sport to younger generations and those fish look awesome. I'm sure if i caught fish like that when i was younger i would've probably gotten more serious about fishing at a younger age. but i have a trip planned for thursday since school starts next tuesday so wish me luck =]

  15. i bought 3 of the Sebile magic swimmer lures, spend about 45 dollars and didnt catch a thing on them. ended up losing them all to stumps and different hangups in the water =/
  16. So my buddy and I were fishing this pond over by me and we were getting bites all day and the fish would start running with our baits, but when we'd go to set the hook they would spit them right back up. I know it could be possible that maybe the fish were to small for our baits but i was using a 1/4 oz. jig and a t-rigged Zoom finesse worm and my friend was also using the t-rigged finesse worm. but with what fish we did catch we both caught 2 or 3 keeper sized LMB and a few 12 and 13-inchers. So my question is, what do you guys usually do when the fish are spitting your bait back up?
  17. If it weren't for my dad i don't think I'd be fishing, so I'm going to have to say my dad. He has taught me everything I know about fishing. But when i need help on certain things, or some sort of advice, the guys here at Bassresource have helped me a lot.
