  1. Fantastic...always glad to hear of success on Allatooner !!
  2. Ordered a left hand Curado 200E7 from BPS late August. Was notified near the end of Setember that it was backordered and could be another 30 days. Was just recently notified that it is still backordered and that if it does not come in by the end of October, my order will be cancelled. Since its late in the season, I don't mind waiting if its every thing everyone says it is. Does anyone know if this mystery reel will ever become available? When? Is it worth waiting for? Does any other retailer have it?
  3. A tragic accident occurred this weekend. A co-worker and his 18 year old son were out bank fishing. The father and son separated along the rocky bank. When the father went to check in on his son he found him dead. Apparently he had slipped and hit his head on a rock and drowned. Do any of you use PFD's bank fishing? What has been your expereince? Can you make any recommendations?
  4. Good Point. I've got a Symetre spinner at a 6.0 at 31" per turn. I guess its my impression that spinners, in general, bring in more line per turn. In that case, as you all have suggested the 7.0 Curado would be closer to the 6.0 Symetre that the 5.0 Curado. Thanks for everyone help and clarification of this issue.
  5. Hi guys...I need some help here. After years of fishing plastics, spinners and cranks with a spinning rod, I want to switch over to a BC setup. I've ordered a STC Premiere 6'6" MHF rod and want to put a Curado 200E left hand retrieve on it. My question is this, the Curado is available in both 5.0 and 7.0 retrieve. Under what conditions is one used over the other? Although the 7.0 is referred to as a "burner", is 7.0 becoming more standard than 5.0 or 6.0? Is the 5.0 too slow for all around bassin?
  6. Thanks guys for all of your help and responses. Ordered a 2 piece St Croix Premiere 6'6" MHF today. Next.....waiting for that leftie Curado :
  7. Whoa....now you guys are way over my head...JDM rods...wouldn't even know where to look to find something like that. Us MidWest farm boys just like to dirve over to the pond and wet a few lines...thats why we need 2 piece rods in the car !!! JDM's are gettin a little too fancy for us...I don't think the cows would understand me carrin a JDM through their fields !! ;D
  8. Right, that's exactly what I'm thinking...just keep it in the car and go!! I have the same problem, nobody around here has a STC MF or MHF....got any recommendations as to who online is trustworthy?
  9. Hey guys! Stuck with a small car and no boat and need a baitcastin rod. Been pretty partial to St Croix for a number of years and use their 2 piece Avids for spinnin. Thinking about teaming a 2 piece 6'6" MF or MHF Premiere with a 200E Curado. Would that be a good multi-task setup? Is there another 2 piece BC you can recommend? Really appreciate comments by all.
