In some small ponds where the fishing is finicky I have been skunked maybe 4-10 times this year, but I have caught some nice ones. As for big lakes I rarely rarely get skunked on larger bodies of water. 1 so far this year not because I didn't get a bite, I lost 3 fish on bad hook sets with my jigs :-(

How big is this place you fish... size of the lake can determine the speed at which the fish become conditioned to certain lures..

I used to poke a hole threw it with a knife(not a huge hole), I know what you mean though, I had unbelievably hard time getting them on AND off..

Yeah normally I have been trimming them like right below the hook and then the weed guard, how far do ya'll trim them??

Hi, I'm about to get my boat up here at school with me and was wondering if ya'll got any tips or advice for High rock lake. I fished there one time before but was very young. I know summertime is offshore structure, but does anyone have any more specific advise? Thanks.

I played paintball on a pretty high level (world cup national level stuff) and I have had many many sponsors. I'm 19 right now started playing at 11. I haven't balled in a long time. The sponsors took out the fun in the game. I learned extremely quickly that its not what the sponsors can do for you its what you can do for the sponsors. Paintball took over my life, and to do something that seirous with that many sponsors is a fulltime job. I'm not ready to grow up so I quit (after my contract went out). I hope I never feel that way about bass fishing..

How many LM bass do you catch on average per day of fishing *in the middle of summer*. Usually when we go to bigger lakes, we catch about anywhere from 4-12, but I've been reading around and seeing some people catch 30+. Sure I've fished a couple times and pulled in 30+ but not USUALLY. It's also more reasonable in the spring and Fall thats where I normally get my numbers. So on the average summertime fishing trip one day, how many do you normally catch? I'm counting the average day from 5 am to 3-4 pm.

4PM dead of winter and raining it sucked. 10lbs 2 ounce largemouth, blue/black jig n pig. skipped this one girls party, but it was definately worth it.
