  1. Lol the storm swimbaits in the color I want are getting hard to find but I bought tons last time i found them so I'm not lacking any. Have you checked walmarts? They seem to have more then BPS and any other place I've found...
  2. Would this be a good hump? If you can see it its a 6' "hump" in the middle of deep water. What do you think? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v336/Bkoguy07/hump.jpg
  3. Yeah he's definately helpful, thanks for all your help, congrats!
  4. With all these jig threads I thought i would add one more, this one with a extreme detail. Post your jig setup, favorite jig color, weight, and trailer. Also post your favorite time of year for fishing them and where on a lake you find "premium jigging" areas! Heres mine 7' MH rod 20lb braided line any high speed baitcaster Manns Stone Jig, or Strike King's denny brauer jig either black and blue or watermelon. 1/2oz or 3/8oz I use the zoom super chunk (about to get the rage tail craw tho, people seem to love them!) the trailer matches the jig... Springtime is definately my favorite time of the year for them and i love fishing them around alot of brush fallen timber and stuff you wouldnt want to throw with an exposed hook! How about yours?
  5. How'd it happen? Shoot'em if you catch'em doing it again. My pops did that to the guy who tried to break into our trucks... Why did you have so much gear in your boat?
  6. Oh in that case, I just recently keep one on at all times... so 6 years? lol
  7. I find that I get my bites when its falling right on top of the structure. I just started using them as well and I've caught a few on them. I don't really understand what you mean by present. I always expect a bite so I'm always presenting the lure properly? I don't really understand. I use zoom trick worms too.
  8. I don't know, I wouldn't buy a 5'5" rod for my kid that I knew he would grow out of. I was using baitcasters and normal sized rods when I was 12.
  9. Haha you and me both...
  10. Umm It was either the first time I used it I caught my biggest bass (10lbs , it was really lucky in the wintertime too...) or it was spring, which took also the first trip... I'm a lil hazy, I started using jigs in the 7th grade, which I'm glad I did, because I feel it benefited my fishing greatly in the spring and winter time!!!
  11. I don't see how saying anything nasty or mean to him would benefit your cause. Although I don't agree with people keeping fish, bass especially, I mind my own business unless they are keeping more then the state laws allows, or keeping to small of fish.
  12. Yeah, I have heard nothing but good things about lake falcon!
  13. You see his first day total? 5 fish 31 pounds, about 6lbs per fish.... 14th place lollllll
  14. Just stick with it, my first fish on a jig was easily in my top 3 biggest fish I've ever caught. After that I was hooked, I continued using them in the spring and was tearing them up, summertime is my worst jig fishing time (mainly using soft plastics) but I LOVEEE jigs stick with them.
  15. If you could take a picture and post it, it would help tremendously.
  16. I think so lol this video cracked me up, just thought I should share...
  17. Tequila sunrise, red shad, watermelon red flake, and baby bass is all i got with me at school. at home its completely different
  18. WOW! thanks for that
  19. Lol I don't care who you are, any bass over 5lb will get your blood flowing.
  20. Yeah I would've used the Crankbait till it didn't get any more bites, while working the area throughly. Normally I switch lures if I get a strike but dont connect. Kinda like a follow up.
  21. this thread is great lol
  22. I doubt the 12-13 year olds would have the patience to read this entire thing.
  23. Sucks that you lost your pb, but go back and get him, he's probably still hungry...
