  1. You have me confused with someone else as I have never owned a Megabass rod.,
  2. Bass&PanMan, with all of the inquiries regarding rods n reels that you have made here and over at TT, have you actually bought any of it? http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=64429
  3. I think that I will backtrack on my not really having a problem with Shimano's decision making nowadays. That said, I am very happy with my Curado 200HG and I would not have a problem buying a Citica if I could find it cheaper than a Curado I.
  4. If they are the same performance wise then it I guess it all comes down to color.
  5. Loomis MBR844 GLX / Curado 200HG and right now I am using 14# Sniper FC with a 5/0 Gamakatsu EWG and a 3/8oz Tungsten bullet weight.
  6. If it is, it's the first Mudfish that I have seen with a red tail.
  7. What about if you can't get the pin back in far enough to use the Hedgehog tool. I just had that problem with an Avail spool so I sent it to DVT. It will be interesting to hear what he has to say about it. Do the pliers work ok.
  8. Just out of curiosity, what kind of reel are you using?
  9. I have sold plenty of rods and the buyers have been extremely pleased. On the other hand, I have bought used rods and have been extremely pleased. You need to understand that not everyone uses their rods all the time. I have bought 4 Loomis's with the Wiebe reel seat that has not been used by Loomis in a long time and those rods are in near new condition. You just have to know what you want and be willing to wait for it to show up in the classifieds or an auction site.
  10. Check the Completed Listings on eBay for Loomis MBR843 and you will see that you missed an excellent condition Loomis MBR843GLX for around $220.00. It would have been a very nice rod for your intended purposes. If you are patient, you can buy a much nicer, used in excellent condition rod, for less that than the rods you are asking about.
  11. Read the NRX Senko Rod Thread a couple of Threads down.
  12. Man you sure are buying some nice technique specific gear for not even knowing the difference between a Shakeyhead and a T-Rig. Bass Resource has another section that has a ton of articles and a bunch of videos that could really help you out if you will take the time to read and watch.
  13. I believe the popular opinion is the NRX983 is the best for fishing a Senko. It has to be the green one cause bass like green rods. LOL
  14. I personally would not want to cast a 3/16oz jig with 16# Sniper. My experience has been that using a heavier weight helps in casting FC but maybe you will have more success throwing lighter weights with a heavier pound test FC than I do.
  15. It didn't take you long to change your rod preference for squarebills and jerk baits. LOL
  16. Corrosion yes. Especially if used in a saltwater environment.
  17. If my potential buyer doesn't want to buy it, I will let you know.
  18. I received the reel today and I am selling it & I may already have a buyer. It's a nice little reel but I have other wants.
  19. The reel arrived in the USA yesterday around 3 in the afternoon so I may get it today but probably Monday. I need to get it and decide if I want to keep it or sell it. So technically, I am still a life member of the Shimano Fan Club. LOL
  20. And the man plants cat tails or some sort of extremely thick tall grass around the retention ponds by on/off ramps by hiways so that rules out fishing there.
  21. The lower gear models would also be nice if you were throwing big spinnerbaits with big blades.
