Has anyone tried the Daiwa Steez flourocarbon line? What about Yamamoto Sugoi dropshot flourocarbon? what has been the best flourocarbon line you have used for spinning reels? what brand has been good for you? i.e, easy to cast, good knots, ect. thanks,FG.

what would you say/do?
you are fishing a tourny (co-ang) your boat is 10-12 feet from shore(12oclock) the boater is casting to the front towards the shore(10-11,oclock) your casting towards the shore(12-1clock),before your lure even starts to sink the boater hits the trolling motor to chase his lure and your lure starts to get draged through the water.the boaters lures stays where it is and the guy in the back has to reel and recast.this happend to me almost all day long.without sounding like a beeacth, what do you do/say?

Spinning reel and rod suggestions
As for reels the Daiwa Luvias 07,or the new Fuego,(200-300 range).as for rods. the Yamamoto line is worth looking into,i have a 7fter drop shot that i use for senkos, and DSing, small minnows as well.the Daiwa TD Tierra line i have two, only 70$ a piece i lovem! i use those for everything, have a medium and a medium lite.

Dock Skipper choices
i was thinking the same thing cause i am fishing the back of the boat(co-angler) and the motor kept getting in the way,so what i am going to do is get a Daiwa triforce shorty rod,it's only 3ft,so i should have no problem skipping now, their not much money at all 15.00 tops.

Do I NEED a leader for braid?
i always use a flouro/mono leader on braid, call it a shock absorber if you will, like the uni to uni knot, very strong, and if/when you get a snag it's easier to brake off the leader than the main line, cause braid always breaks more than what lb's it's rated,in my experiance anyway.

MOVING DOWN TO SHORTER ROD!
your only dropping two inchs,so you probly wont notice any differance at all,in casting distance.how much shorter or longer is the handle of the shimano?cause handle length was the only reason i dropped from a 7ft to a 6'6.i really didnt see that much of a differance in casting distance at all.but handle length made all the differance in my case.the handle of the 7ftr kept hitting me when working plastics.no problem now with the 6'6.
