about 60 miles east of dallas is the mecca of texas bass fishing. the infamos Lake,Fork it would be worth your while to find a guide and book a trip. even if you do have to stay an extra day. the current state record was cuaght there ane 70% of the top 50 bass in texas were hooked in lake fork. by the way the state record is somthing like 18.81 lbs i think
saw this on a fishing show on the vs. ultimate match fishing college , i cant remember who it was but the gut in the front of the boat was getting his butt whuuppedand picked up a rod of his competitors . when the guy saw what the other one was doing he got mad. so the guy juust wraps some line around his hand without him knowing and chunks his 2-3hundred dollar set up in the lake
my 87 yr old grandad would hook a bass and take off walking the other way instead of reeling... and drag the poor fish up on the bank. easier to lip that way.
