Geez, finally! That ad has been airing since January, and finally somebody noticed! Yes, that is indeed RW and Long Mike in the pic at Trophy Country. RW is in another pic in the commercial too. Ya, Mike D's Lunkerville has been with BassResource since Mike started it, and even had me on as a guest in one of his shows. So it was a natural fit to sponsor Lunkerville.
  4. Check out this video with Mark Zona and Glenn - and see what he says about these forums! Thanks Mark!
  5. Black lake, Ohop, Patterson, St. Clair...the last two especially good during summer due to the 5mph speed limits. Ohop might have one too.
  6. I've never need a lure retriever. Here's why:
  7. Every 3-6 months, depending on how often I use the boat. It comes in a spray bottle. Spray it on, wipe it off. I just use a cotton rag (I buy rags in bulk at Costco). I keep my boat in a garage. My previous boat was an aluminum boat that I stored outside with a cover. That's when I started using the product, and it worked fine on it.
  8. There's a product on the market called BTS (Bow To Stern), that's essentially a fiberglass wax, and vinyl/rubber protectant. You can also use it on plexiglass cowlings. But here's the kicker - it has built-in mold and mildew inhibitors, as well as 100% UV protection. Plus you can use it on the carpet. If you're following along, that means you can spray it all over your boat, including the storage compartments and trailer tires. I've been using it on my boat for the better part of 10 years now, and it still looks brand new.
  9. No, I have not. I've tried other brands, but you aren't asking about them.
  10. I used to use PowerPro, until I started using Seaguar Kanzen. It handled better than PP, so I made the switch. Then Smackdown was introduced, and it changed everything. Now I use Smackdown for all my braid needs except two: one is for frog fishing. I still use Kanzen for that because it's a thicker diameter braid, and thus it floats more. Granted, it doesn't cast as far as Smackdown, but the hook-up ratio on a frog out at the end of a long cast gets worse the further out it is anyway. The other braid is the new Flippin' braid. I have that spooled up on a couple rods to see how it compares to Smackdown. So far I'm really impressed with it. But I have yet to whack a monster in some thick brush with it, so I'm waiting to see how it holds up under that stress test.
  11. Do you know the differences between the two, and how to use them together to find fish? Brent Chapman does! And he shows you how in this video: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/sonar-downvu.html
  12. It's that time again ladies and gents...the sights, the smells, the binge drinking when your team is mathematically eliminated from the post season by the All Star break. Spring training is here, and there are a lot of big changes on many clubs. Who do you have this year? What prospects are going to contribute to their respective big league team? Who are this year's sleepers? What players are going to boom? Who is going to bust? With all that said, Play ball!!!
  13. Eventually they get out of whack from banging them on things. And sometimes, I do it deliberately. I explain it here:
  14. Always use marine batteries, cranking or starting type for the outboard and deep cycle for the trolling motor. They are designed spedifcally for this use. Check the electrolyte or water level in the battery before each charge and keep it filled to the manufacturer recommendations DO NOT overfill. The gases from batteries are very explosive, keep flames and anything that could spark away while you are filling or working around the battery and do not smoke either. Always charge the batteries as soon as possible when you get off the lake if you stay the night or as soon as you get home from your fishing trip. The longer the battery stays discharged the shorter the life the battery will have. Lead sulfate will build up on the plates, and cause a cell to fail. The battery manufacturers recommend cleaning the terminals every three months. Check all of the connections for tightness. If you try to follow these guidelines your day on the water will be more enjoyable and your battery problems will be few.

  16. I'm going to say you're something-teen years old. That's not meant as a slam, but it's the type of thing teens do to each other, and get upset over. I strongly suspect he would not have created that 2nd account if you hadn't brought it up with him in the first place. But he got a reaction from you the first time, so he's doing it again to get another reaction. Apparently, you've ignored him too long for his tastes, so he's attempting to get your attention back. Don't give it to him. He'll soon give up and move on to somebody else who's willing to play his game and satisfy his insatiable appetite for attention. Block his accounts and move on.
