Funny, it's not something I really pay any attention to. I guess I've met enough people from all walks of life to know that skill level and knowledge has nothing to do with what equipment one owns. I also know better than to make assumptions about somebody's ego based upon what gear they have. I've had my butt kicked from guys fishing out of leaky tin boats and 2nd hand store gear all the way up to people with shiny new boats loaded to the gills with expensive equipment. And with few exceptions, every one of them were a joy to meet and talk to. So to assume a person has their nose in the air because they own fancy equipment, or that they know nothing because they own beat up tattered gear, is a huge mistake, and a missed opportunity to meet a great person.

It's fishing folks. It's supposed to be fun. How and why people feel the need to put down others over fishing lures is beyond me....and to even carry it forth to another forum? Really? Unbelievable. We're done here.
