  2. It means YOUR computer is infected with a virus (malware specifically). You'll get this error message regardless of what site you're on. It seems to only affect Firefox users. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic320472.html http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-free-forum?sec=thread&act=show&id=90565
  3. 3000 lbs on a bumper hitch? :-? yes, and it it had a 300lb tongue load limit. i pulled it pretty well but now i have an expedition and i cant tell its behind me. This may get me in trouble but I just can't let it go. Come on! "I can't tell it's behind me". How many times I heard that and it's a bunch of Cr%p. You can tell when anything is hooked to the back of a vehicle unless you drunk, on crack, or drive so slow you would never know anyway. I have an F-250 SD and can tell a difference in driving and handling when I have a 15' boat attached. I disagree with you, I pull an 18ft boat behind my truck and can't tell it's there. Given I'm driving a 2500HD with a 15000lb tow rate, but still, my truck doesn't miss a beat. I do have a reese hitch, and YES, I would recommend that to anyone who is going to tow. p.s.- I don't drive drunk, on crack, and definetely not slow I have a fully rigged 520 Ranger Commanche. When I tow it with my F-250, I definitely know it's there. But with my F-450 I have to keep looking back to see if it's still there - seriously, no joke. I can't feel it and the truck acts like it's not there. You never would have convinced me before I did it. I literally had to experience it to believe it. Now I know better. It's possible.
  4. Yep. The "60 degree" mark is an average. I see you're from the same area I am, so you know the last week or so has been really cold for this time of year. We had such a mild winter, I was expecting a dry, warm spring. But nooooOOO! ;D Yes, Columbia gear is a little more pricey than cheaper stuff, but the quality is there and they last forever. The shirts are what I get. They're very comfortable and keep you cool and free of sunburns. Just hope I get to use mine sometime. :
  5. Man I wish I had your problem. I seriously do. We've had an unseasonable cold and wet spring. One front after another with constant rain and temps hovering around 60. It's been that way for months. :-/ But - when it does get hot, I go with Columbia sportswear.

  7. I just heard about 3 Mercs blowing powerheads today. What happened last weekend? BigRickRolled - Hospital? What happened?
  8. Wish it were an interesting story, Burley, but the fact-of-the-matter is, we just launched the boat and started the engine. It was running really rough and wouldn't get up on plane. Turns out we dropped 2 cylinders. It's past warranty, so the bill goes to us. Oh joy. :-/
  9. A couple things about getting the most performance out of KVD Line & Lure: Shake the bottle well before using, and while using it (if spraying multiple reels at the same time) If you're applying it the first time, do it at least 24 hours before you go fishing. It needs to soak in and do it's "magic" first. After that, you can apply a "touch up" spray while fishing without waiting for it to dry. Hope that helps!
  10. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/ Check out the spinnerbait and fish care videos.
  11. We blew our engine last weekend, so we're not spending $$ on any tackle for any time soon. :'(
  12. Ok folks, just because somebody doesn't like them doesn't mean the world is coming to an end. I personally cannot catch a fish on a swimbait for the life of me, but that doesn't mean they're bad. It just means they're not my cup of tea. No big deal, right? So let's keep that concept in mind.
  13. Only one person? Wow! The odds of winning this are pretty darn good then!
  14. Here's how to remove a swallowed hook (gut hooked) http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1128002349/16#16 Don't move the fish backwards, you can damage his gills. Do put "Please Release Me" directly on the wound as well as in the livewell. Then place the fish in the livewell with some ice and allow him some time to rest up before releasing him. Hope that helps!
  15. There's still time to sign up for this contest folks. You've got nothing to lose - it's free!
  16. I strongly agree with J Francho on this one. Once you've drawn a weapon, you're in a kill or be killed situation. Period. There's no "winging" somebody, or "scaring them off" with a "warning shot" kind of thing. It never happens that way. Ever. Somebody will die, with other saying, "I didn't mean to hurt anybody." Period.

    Yo.
  19. Unfortunately, I think that's what's going to happen. These bandits aren't too bright. They're dealing with Texans. Armed Texans. In fast boats. You get about 5 armed bass anglers within earshot (and sight) of each other, and then one slow boat full of thugs tries to mug one of them. The outcome is self-evident. Something bad is going to happen.
  20. So basically I'm a dip. ;D
  21. Boy, that could be anything really. Just add confusion, it could be an emission device that's vacuum controlled. It's possible that it's a valve that's supposed be closed during warmup, but open once operating temp is reached. If the valve is stuck open (e.g. vacuum leak), it can cause rough idling or stalling until the engine warms up. I had that happen once too many on one of my older cars until I ripped out all the vacuum controlled devices I could find, and replaced them either electronic or mechanical devices. Problem solved.
