I am looking to buy some new line and was wondering what you guys have on your reels. I have two combos one im going to be fishing jigs and plastics. the other spinnerbaits/Rattle traps. Any advice?

Hey ... I have an 18 horse evinrude fast twin ..its a lats 60's model and starts up within 3 pulls when cold and 1 when warm. the motor is still strong. so i guess what im saying is as long as the motor has been cared for there is no age limit. btw that boat is overpriced! keep looking man theres better deals out there.

cool thanks for the reply.. I dont feel so bad about it anymore ;D Man I was on the pond at 6pm and not a bite until 8pm. But after that it was like a switch 8 hookups and 5 fish landed in an hour!

I was fishing by some docks with a rattle trap and had got some quality fish to bite but they jumped and threw the hook. after that the bite slowed so i decided to practice some pitching. (yep with a rattletrap). on my first pitch a caught a bass but foul hooked em in the top of the head. so i thought to myself he must of missed it because it was getting dark at this point. then a few pitches later I foul hooked another, this time it was hooked closer to his tail then his mouth. Both bass were fine. I then went on to catch 3 more which were hooked properly. sorry for the long post but just got off the pond and had 8 bass hit and got 5 in the boat in 1 hour! I guess my question is were the two bass i foul hooked just minding there business and i hooked them, or do you think they were actually trying to hit the bait? I feel bad ... I kinda feel like i didnt deserve those fish
