  1. Herculiner is what I plan to do mine with. I just purchased a quart for $19 at walmart this week. Can says that it is chemical resistant and gas and oil resistant. As for a primer, I purchased a can of self etching primer by Rustolem. Now my boat is aluminum in the bilge, so I am not sure if it will work on fiberglass. Tough, durable, and most of all the bas tank will not slide around while trailering the boat.
  2. Thanks guys This morning before I went out I mounted the tranducer in an old bracked that was on the boat when I bought it and it worked perfectly!!! thanks again - saved me the cost of buying transducer when I did not need it. Tom
  3. Does anyone know if a high speed transducer can be bought for the humminbird 565. I bought this unit in the portable model for my canoe last year but have since bought a bass tracker and I am trhing to get this to work on the front deck to show me the water depth while I am motoring. I am having no luck, as soon as I get over 4-5 miles and hour then the depth numbers just blink until I slow down to almost nothing. Has anyone figured out a solution to this problem. I really dont want to have to purchase a new unit, but I am driving blind now not knowing how deep the water is that I am in. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
