  1. Thanks ya'll. It is indeed nice, been about a month since I've been able to fish any of my usual streams due to the "monsoon" rains and flash floods. Compared to what I usually catch here in Hawaii, that one was humongous. She took one of my flies before so I went back to ol faithful cranks.
  2. 2.5lb Stream Smallie on a Bomber Model A - Silver Shad!
  3. Bomber Model A or Fat As in Silver Shad, Firetiger or Dark Brown Craw
  4. yes they were indeed stocked like smallies
  5. There's plenty enough but only cause most concentration is on saltwater. You can fish for smallmouth in just about every stream just as long as its not brackish or infested with Jewel banded cichlids or tilapia. (this is on Oahu btw) If you are just interested in just peacocks then head on out to Lake Wilson in Wahiawa. I have yet to go out to Kauai but i've heard of stellar freshwater fishing over there as well due to lack of the tropical aquarium fish infesting the waters.
  6. I've found anything bright works really well such as gold kastmasters and white shad Bomber model As. Peacocks in Hawaii are like Trevally, gotta work the bait at a consistent speed and if you get one following, work the lure even faster! It may be the same for you out in Florida.

Eh my search is done, got a couple from a friend who happened to find them in his long lost box. They work just fine on light tackle, yet to try it on some heavier stuff but theres not much point to it. There are indeed smallies in Hawaii, I'd post pictures but I'm not quite in the post limit yet.

Could be your line? I've heard that if your line isn't to the size of your poppers they could upset the buoyancy. I haven't had a problem with using fluorocarbon line with Rebel Pop-rs (teeny pop-rs are the shizzle!) the line weight I am using is 8 and 10lb test. With braided I am using 20lb at times.
  9. I love Kalin 3" and 5" in rivers and streams
  10. t-rigged 3in senko senko slim on a shaky head spinnerbaits is what I would use in those weedy conditions.

biggest I have caught so far is around 13-14inches. Normal is around 7-8 inches. I have been using small tubes, Pin's minnows and Rebel Teeny Pop-rs.

They are indeed!! Targeting smallies here in HI and Jr/Puppy's are too big for the size I've found here.

Ah, not the ones I was looking for... Thank for all finds so far though. The "pooch" version is 2" long I believe.

    nothing?

Sorry about that, I am stationed in Hawaii. Majority of the stores sell only saltwater items or the larger spooks. I'd probably need it shipped.
