Snakeheads in Massachusetts.
Bowfin put up a HELL of a fight... I pulled a 8+ pounder out of champlain 2 years ago that doubled over my med-heavy baitcasting rod for about 10 minutes... He hit a 4" bleeding tube... As far as snakeheads go, kill em...

What Size Worms?
10 inch power worms are one of my go to baits for a kicker bass during a tournament... either texas rigged weightless or with a 1/8 oz weight or carolina rigged with a big 1/2 oz weight... both setups are excellent depending on the water you are fishing and current structure. Big senko's are nice as well, however many times the hook set is a problem.

Bow Lake, NH
The smallies were between 10 and 65 feet of water and the largemouth were all off of docks, weeds, and rocks in fairly shallow water.

Button Bay Champlain
Even with the FLW guys up in Plattsburg running all over the lake, the fishing was very good this past weekend...

Bow Lake, NH
I fished there last weekend and did very very well... We fished open water as well as docks and shallow structure. Drop shotting, buzz baits, and hula grubs killed em... Between myself and my buddy, we took about 35 smallies and 5 largemouth in about 24 hours...

Are the bass getting ready for winter already???
I agree as far as using technology and knowledge to locate the fish, however lately the fish aren't any where to be found. I fish my home lake atleast once a week and know it like the back of my hand. Regardless of knowledge, the just aren't biting...

Are the bass getting ready for winter already???
Its been pretty tough lately. I agree with most of you guys as far as the fishing moving off the pads. We have pulled some open water fish in about 15' of water in sunken weed patches. The water is starting to drop in my home lake as well, and loading the boat is already getting more difficult. I think most of this is due to the unsteady weather. The only solid bites I'm getting are after serious thunder and lightning storms blow through.

Button Bay Champlain
I'll be in Ticonderoga, NY from the 10 thru the 14th. The water south of button bay is the areas I'm mostly familiar with. We launch out of either Crown Point, NY under the bridge or at the Ticonderoga Ferry.

Looking for whatever kind of info I can get for fishing Bow Lake. I'm gonna hit it up this weekend and wanted to gather some info from people that have been there lately. Thanks!

Fishing in massachusetts
Quabbin reservoir is a great place to check out. The spring fishing there has caused me to call in sick about 10 times this year alone...

A question for guys in MA
I've done really well on both top water baits like the spro frogs as well as zara spooks, poppers, etc. Soft plastic frogs have been ok, however I like the spro a lot better. I've also been doing a lot of pitching into heavy cover with a 3/4 oz weight using either a brush hawg or other creature baits. I've done well on them all...
