  1. Thanks to everyone for the input. That's what I thought but just wanted to be sure. Like I said, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to bass. I've fished them occasionally with plastic worms and a few spinnerbaits, but very seldom used crankbaits. Thanks again. Doug
  2. Please excuse a bass noob question... Regarding crankbaits...does anyone ever put a tail/trailer (whether pork or plastic) on one like you would a spoon or jig? Or since most are already designed to look like a bait fish, should it always only be fished by itself? Thanks for the input
  3. Well, it seems as though there is a strong opinion favoring the fish finder as opposed to the TV camera. That's all I needed to know. Thanks for the responses. Doug
  4. Fairly new to bass fishing, and I was just wondering...which would be better for locating fish, and why? I can only afford one right now, and it would have to be about $180 or less. I've seen both for this price or less, but I'm not sure which would be the best all-around system. Seems to me the TV camera would be best, except in muddy water, which I'd seldom be in. Any thoughts? If you could only have one... Thanks
  5. I'm fairly new to bass fishing...I was raised on hook & bobber bluegills with either earthworms or waxworms. So I look at it this way: I don't catch enough bass yet to make a difference one way or the other. I mean, 4 to 6 bass a year is not going to ruin the bass ecosystem in my area if I decide to eat them! Maybe when I get to the point where I catch them every time I go out, I may feel different...but until then, they're going home with me. For me, half the fun of fishing is the eating. But like I said, I was raised watching a bobber, so if and when I start catching a lot of good sized bass, I may feel differently.
