  1. Everyone that owns one says it's amazing. Get it. NOW!
  2. I've been using Floroclear for over a year now without any problems at all. It's a very very very manageable line and probably the most manageable I've ever used.
  3. There was a post about this the other day and Reel Mechanic said that there should be no problems at all. I would have to agree as well that if your line can't take some chlorine then it wasn't very good line to begin with...I can't imagine the types of stuff in the water here in the CA Delta and I'll fish with the same line for a month before respool!
  4. That's exactly what I would have said...wait for that new Cumara to come out and stack it up with an E5 and you're set! Although...I do have an STX on my cranking stick, which I prefer because you can speed it up or slow it down at a 6.4:1 ratio!
  5. I just recently bought a Daiwa Sol from BPS with my rewards points and walked out the door with it for $110. It is a great reel and perfect for pitching light weight plastics!
  6. Plastics - 10# or 12# Trilene 100% or P-Line Halo Fluorocarbon Jigs - 50# Sufix Performance or Fireline Tracer Braid with or without 15# fluorocarbon leader (leader brand doesn't really matter to me, but I've been using Vicious Fluorocarbon)
  7. It's definitely not a Cumara, but the Clarus rods are pretty awesome IMO. They won the freshwater award at ICAST last year.
  8. I was at Wally World the other day picking up something and saw that they had some Vicious Fluorocarbon and picked up a spool of 8# and 15#. Spooled up the 15# on my Revo SX and I was getting a little bit of overrun using lighter baits (ie. 6" fat tail Roboworm with 1/8 oz bullet weight). But after I tied on a 5" Senko I didn't have any problems. I didn't notice any fraying of the line and I didn't notice any issues with knots either. I've heard a lot of good things about this line on other forums...
  9. I just picked up a Powell 706CB and I must say that it is pretty excellent for 1/2 oz lipless crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwaters.
  10. Someone on another forum purchased one from TW and returned it for a Mojo. They said that the rod was fairly heavy and the quality was just not there...he mentioned something about the guide spacing and there only being 7 guides I think...

  12. Powell 735C Frog Rod Shimano Curado 200E7 65# Sufix Performance Braid Spro Bronzeye Frog
  13. That's actually Ryobi's original concept...
  14. That is an awesome all around combo! Congrats on the nice gear!
  15. I just bought a spool of 15# Vicious Fluorocarbon and 8# Vicious Fluorocarbon and I don't see it any less manageable than Yo-Zuri Hybrid. If you're breaking off that often then I may suggest that you use some 50-65# braided line and tie on a much heavier (say 17-20# test) fluorocarbon leader. I don't recommend that you do this for all of your rigs, but at least for the rigs that you're dragging through the rocks. Also, is it possible that you might have gotten a rotten batch of line?
  16. Get a Saros, I have the Sahara too, but the Saros is much smoother and feels more powerful.
  17. I don't understand why you haven't picked up a Zillion rod yet...I'm pretty sure you'll be happy with it...
  18. Seems like most are in favor of the CBR845...how is the action compared to the 843? I've heard that the different action between a Medium and Medium-Heavy Crucial cranking stick is a pretty big jump...is it the same for the Loomis?
  19. DANG IT! I was so set on purchasing a couple GLX rods too! Everytime I see "The Natural" somewhere on the interwebs I get jacked cause you introduce something new that I want!
  20. So I'm in the market for a lipless crankbait rod and want to know what you guys are using and what you might recommend! Price really isn't too much of an issue, but overall weight and balance is! I've been looking at either the Loomis CBR843 or CBR845, but can't really decide which one I want to buy first. I need this rod for a trip I'm making at the end of the month! I'll be taking this rod out into the CA Delta as well as a Norcal lake with lots of submerged trees and plan to throw 1/2 oz Red Eye Shads, XR50s, etc.
  21. G2 Dobyns 705CB Graphite. Get it! I just got myself one and it's great!
