If you were ever with a woman in door county in the fall of 84. That was 5 10 and looked a bit like Kenny g. You might be my father. Not the worst rumor I have ever heard.

    Slone is my father.
  3. I will more then likley go back. Once i get bored with three day weekends. I have been doing it since april. The hours are not bad though. I work second at my full time job. It was a pain when i worked at the other job. I usally had to be at work by noon, and when you dont get to sleep intill 4am. That sucked. I am suprised I never hit a customer with a hammer at that job.
  4. It is belive me. It was enjoyble. Plus a lot of good looking woman hang out there. Well its a old job. I have been working this job since i worked at the place i wont talk about. I just kept the bouncing gig, and quite the other job. So i could work at the machine shop. I didn't cry. It was my boss that did. Nothing just been busy. I havnt been here in a while. No i am not hiding from big foot. I Have been to busy the last 4 years. I cant even get pitty sex from bigfbigfoot.
  5. Over the last 4 or 5 months I have been working two jobs. With about up to 50 hours a week in 6 days. Not bad I know. I was just getting a bit burned out, and getting angry at stuff that I should not have been. After a few talks with some people. I had to chose to walk away form my bouncing job. I was one of the hardest things I have ever done job related. Usually I can't wait to get out of a place, but this place was different. It was like a family, and I learned that quick. After my notice got around to the bartenders, cooks, and wait staff. about 3/4 of the staff tired to twist my arm in staying. After a few days of hearing that. I really had to ask why they want me to stay. These are some of their words they used to get me to stay." you looked after us." " You never went Roadhouse on any drunk." " You were always positive." Hearing that really made it hard to quite. I think the person that took it the worst was my manger. I told him this is just a sabbatical. I will be back. I just need to enjoy my life right now. This past weekend was my final shift with that manger. As we were saying your good byes, and hugged it out. (First time I ever hugged a boss.) I could tell he was about ready to cry. I even say some tears in his eyes as we pulled apart. When I saw that I had to ask why are you so sad. He then said he will miss me. Never had a boss say that. I do know deep down I will be back. More then likely once the holidays and what not are over. Once I get bored and what not. From the way it sounds. I will be welcomed back with out a problem. Now its time to go back in to hiding for a few more months.
  6. Light beer and taste. That is like calling Taco bell real Mexican food. I will stick to micro brews and stouts. Plus it don't hurt when you work at a micro brew.
  7. It started last night. As for the playoffs. Its to early to tell.
  8. My dad use to say I am full of poop. I guess I am ugly on the inside to.
  9. Never said I was good looking. Why do you think I am a machinist, and I bounce at a bar? The general public don't need to see my Quasimodo looking face.
  10. No way there is enough booze in the world to make you look good.
  11. That fan will now be fined 30k, and suspend for 4 games.
  12. In bed or at a job?
  13. Welcome to the club. I hear Raider is a gigolo and or a pimp. I still haven't figured it out. Why else would a man from Bama need a fur coat? Maybe he can help us.
  14. Its not his current woman. It is how he feels on the inside. He has a purple haired woman ready to get out, and I don't really want to be around when she dose get out.
  15. I don't know if Its because I am older, or I have found a zen place. I don't lose my anger as munch. The only thing that makes me mad any more are stupid questions, and bad drivers. Even dealing with drunks at work. Don't set me off. Speaking of stupid questions. I work with a former co workers dad, and what he told me today made me laugh. Some one called and asked if they could return 24 4x4s. No problem right. Well the guy cemented them in the ground all ready, and still wanted to return them. Another guy complained about rocks in his cement mix. Think that one over. I guess the guy even brought in a wheel barrow full of it to prove it. Turns out the mix was not even the stores brand. The kid handled it better then I would have.
  16. Well ask my stupid questions. Like "Do you have any wood with out knots?" And " Do you have any wood that is stronger? I am making a stair case. That is 20ft in the air, and it needs to support a lot of weight?" Yea that's called metal. There is a reason why OSHA says all stairs must be made of metal. If you ask me questions like that. Expect some thing to be thrown at you. I am not sure about retirement. I just turned 31. I have a while to go before that happens. I am just living day by day for now. Saving for a house first. Then comes other things.
  17. I never figured I would find a job that I liked. Even with my degree. I figured I would just deal with the bs, and live my life day to day. Well that changed when I got a job at a small mom and pop machine shop. I did go to school for that. It just took me a year and a half to find it. Its not corporate, less then 50 people work there, pays really well, its interesting, and I deal with rare metals. Google tantalum some time. A 1x1x12 chunk is 5k. Before I got this job. I was working at a place that will remain nameless. They were screwing me out of ot pay, hours, it was retail, and changing the schedule every 2 hours. So I got written up a few times. Becasue they changed the schedule with out notice, or they would say I would have to be in. When I didn't have to be in. The last time that happened. I got home from my bouncer job at 4 am. I didn't recall if I worked at noon on Sunday. so I looked at the online schedule, and it said I worked at noon. That means I have to get up at by at least 11am. I go to sleep and go to work. I get my butt out of bed on 6 hours or so hours of sleep. Drive to work, and put on a smile. I go to punch in. The computer says I am not working. Ok by this time I am more then ticked. This has happened like 3 other times. The only reason I stayed is I liked my co workers, and They convinced me to stay. That was the last time that happened. The job was to the point. Were I wanted to hit a customer that asked if I had any wood with out knots. I wanted to hit them with a hammer. Among other things. It was also effecting my personal life and happiness. About a month later. My grandma told me about a machine shop that was hiring. I figured what dose it hurt. Dropped off my app and resume. I figured I would hear what I have been hearing for the last year and a half. I don't enough experience. Well about a hour later they called for a interview, and I set it up for the next day. I told them since I work at noon. I could see them at 10. I also told them since they are close to my last job. I will be dressing for that. My last job I wore jeans, t shirt, ball hat, and boots. They were ok with that. That interview lead to a second interview. Were they offered me the job. As soon as I was done there. I had my two weeks typed up sitting in my car, and turned it in. At this point I have been there for a month. I am enjoying it a lot. I am a lot happier as a person, and I have not wanted to hit any one with a hammer yet. I am still bouncing Friday and Saturday night. I don't need to, but I work around a bunch of middle aged dudes for 40hrs a week. The only woman are office workers who are married, and the bosses daughter. No I don't dip my pen in company ink. I value my job way more then sex. Sex don't pay my bills, and I wont mess with a married woman. So the bar gig at least allows me to look. The bar crew is also pretty cool. So I have two jobs I love. I am happier then I could ever imagine, I am making great money, and I am single. With not a single problem in my life right now. I would say life is great.
  18. While this is just add for a school. If it wasn't for school. I would not have gotten the job I started a few weeks ago. Granted it took me A year and a half to find a job. Every place was looking for entry level machinist with 2-5 years of experience. Then the pay was usually less then what I could have made working at a factory. So I stuck to crappy jobs in till I found a machine shop job. I wont go in to my current pay, but they took experience, school, and other things in to my pay. I feel like I am getting paid a fair amount. Also if every thing works out right. Over the next year I will be seeing a 2 dollar a hour pay increase. I can say I am not crying about that. All the trades that generations before me learned in the real world. Now require at least some sort of schooling. Welders, Machinist, construction, Plumbers, Maintenance etc. Now all require at least 2 years of school. In some sort of of way. There is very little learning on the job any more. That kind of makes me sad. My dad was a welder/machinist. He learned on the job. He then taught me. I am happy he did that. Becasue I wanted nothing to do with the metal working trades, but I have come full circle and I am enjoying it. With out him teaching me. I don't know were I would be.
  19. Thanks to my Irish and German blood. My skin don't like the sun. I learned at a very young age I need sun screen. I never got that bad as far as blisters go, but I learned my lesson. I don't care how hot I am. I will always be wearing some thing that cover my shoulders and upper arms.
  20. Why not just hitch up the trailer home? Then you can park it at the job site.
  21. Yep missed making things out of metal. I cant say i burnt out yet as a machinist. I do enjoy metal working and doing any thing with metal. Working two jobs right now. One I hate. The other which I like. The one I hate made me hungry to get back to metal working. I do have a second interview Monday at a shop near me. If I get this job. My current job will the third person to know if I get the job. By me giving them my two weeks. Try working retail. I have held back my inner Raider for the last few months. If I get this new job. He might be out and about at will. In till I walk out the door on the final day of work there. Want to know what I miss most about a machine shop. I don't have to watch my mouth, my hands being dirty, general male talk and jokes, etc. You know what I am talking about. You work a male dominated trade. Nothing better then that. I grew in that world. I will die in that world.
  22. As long as it has a internal combustion engine, and two or four wheels I will watch it. I think off road racers and rally racers. Are the most skilled drivers in the world. This is why.
