  1. This is actually pretty common, but people relate this with Walleye fishing live worm rigs with spinners.I picked it , and adapted it to fit my stile of fishing.Swimming sen co frogs 10-15 worms flukes lizards, crawdads with double rig to the claws, off the main hook. This can be crawled in relatively clear situations and eliminates rattles; as to your presentation swim it until you get used to it.If you keep one pre rigged hook ready for this application out of 50lb braid, the only thing you have to worry about is getting snagged.
  2. Your right Randoll; but in my book, if you are fishing heavy or light weights,or baits, the mood of the fish dictates the presentation of the bait, you are using. So I could toss an once on the sweat spot and that bass will move the bait.Or you could use a lite pres to coast them into biting. No threat, so it takes longer for the fish to attack or bump your bait, let alone try to eat it, or just move it.I let my baits tell me the moods of the fish when you let them eat and spit the lure.If they do not drop it right away, they'll eat it, but most cases they pick up and spit it out.So what type of response out of the fish do you want, which depends on the bait of your choice to get the response you want.Big Bait will be sized up, then bumped or eaten.Small Bait will be engulfed, looked upon as no threat, bumped,or plain blown out the bed.It depends on what type of response your looking for.
  3. Went by a few spots, may of even fished a few spots, to what I know is that some waters are green-pumpkin in color to a Teal vibrant color, blues and greens,I would have to look at some of my notes to see if I had fished them.I also take a pole to the FL. Auto Action, and toss a line,or two.More than 25 lakes around that area, plus another 12 or so that I know of, but you would want to fish Lake Parker, Hancock, or Hamilton if those names are correct, been a long time.Yup.Acording to my notes I like Hancock the most.
  4. All my experiences for the 3 trips that I took to E toho was a trick worm with a nail in the thickest grassy reeds, and a Carolina rig.And a few other top water baits. Jumped the gun a bit about toho, seen toho and went nuts.If your that close to west lake Toho, just fish it.Or is it to intimidating. And Rolo thanks for not saying I told ya so. :. Green pumpkin w/green flek, watermelon candy, watermelon red.
  5. The blue jirk is a sweet color, and the cranks outstanding, are they 20-22FT cranks Repaints right.Enjoy-it.I would. >
  6. Thank you for all the info. And again great job.
  7. Thanks Buddy; whats up; anything.
  8. The blade will thump, its all in the placement of the rear hook this was put together for opinions. If the swivel is placed right it will allow, both blade and tail to thump.Angles;Screw weight for the grass, and tex for open water.Enjoy this little big secret.
  9. They-er great, any in sexy shad.
  10. I guess its were your located in the states, when I lived in Indiana,Chicago areas , it is a rarity to see even 3lbers unless the smallies were in site.Small standard baits rule, anything bigger would scare the hell out of them. You would be fishing the big part of the day for 1big bite. This is a half hour trip from down the road at my Dads place. This is a long time ago.
  11. Finding the sweet spot is gold, the mean time you are ticking him or her off and they eat.But when you find the spot its over, no wait time necessary. What do you do when she is on the outside of the bed,NOCK her lights out with a rig of baits to the noggin and shell eat to.Aggression goes a long way.
  12. Has any one seen or heard that Florida Pond Jumpers is putting on another season or not.Last I herd they were no longer having their tournaments.Sure miss those gunshot starts.10 foot Jon boats with 30s on the back, crazy times.

    Beautiful work; keep them coming.
  14. I stumbled across the bluegill bait, it was put out of commission years ago.Forgot all about it,Like tossing it to bedding fish. She will swim with added weight on the front hook, but when dropped into a bed, she settles on her belly do to the weight.
  15. They look nice, what did you use for top coat.
  16. Try a three rig combo;drop-shot, then slide arky jig on it tied like Carolina rig, with 18 inch leader.Three stones, one hit is all it takes.I want to attack something with the most possibilities at one time and little effort in doing so.So I do not waist my time on unproductive waters.
  17. Yup; but I was dropping a sexy swimmer in the beds, and watch out, game on.Drop shot-in a yum money minnow as well. Also take the money minnow and side hook it,shell move for ya.
  18. Well the only thing that I do understand is if you toss a 6-8inch bait your targeting bigger fish, because the smaller fish tend to shy from predator that is out to get them.Yes I do catch small average size fish with the bigger baits, but most unlikely to happen,I know that smaller baits will put together a sack of fish, even some, hardy fish too.But like I said I am here to target bigger fish, and then move on from there.
  19. Try a drop-shot rig above your split-shot,Carolina rig,or even your sinko with a nail in it.Take a six penny nail trim to desire wait, insert and play.
  20. Ive personally have 9 rigged combos with bait-casting reels 3 spinner bait outfits as well;Tourney rigged and ready weather or not involved in the tourney for the day.Or out just fishing by myself or with friends.Different lines, braids, floral or mono.Just plan ready for what ever mother nature decides to through at me.
  21. I have done pretty much of all these tactics, and they produce.Let us know some of your secrets.
  22. I fish big baits on the move and if they-er not so aggressive, I slow down. if that doesn't work downsize.I forgot: that Ill switch to different line diameters with the same baits.Like20lb test for crank-in shallow, strength and less action, towards lighter line 12lb deeper with the same crank and more action.Tide directly to the bait no split ring, or and witch ever you prefer.
  23. PVC or balsa, whats it made from. And no two baits are identical, unless your a machine. And that's not perfect.
  24. Tandem: to much to hassle with or not, swimming worms produce; so what do you think.
  25. And thats the reason I put hardware on that pool toy:
