  1. Speaking of shakey worms ...... I have yet to see a guide to the shakey worm strategy: conditions, presentation, techniques. I've heard it a thousand and 1 times this year. How do you do it ???
  2. Whats up guys I am on the lake(bassresource.com) . I've made a few post already, but I forgot to introduce my self officially. I'm from the central part of the magnolia state my name ( I have to say it i always get crazy looks) is Billy joe patrick jr. i'm african american male. Ive been fishing most of my life but slacked up a bit when i turned 20 ( i was skirt chasing) but now since i got this ball and chain. Now at 24 I've turned back to my first love bass fishing. I'm quite partial to topwater (I think everyone is) I also get busy with a t-rigged worm preferablly a culprit 6incher. Its like magic when they strike all i can do is shake my head and say "JUSANUTHABASS" Nice to meet everyone
  3. I was fishing this morning from a pier. This guy shows up maybe 30 feet from the pier i was fishing I didn't really think to much about it. During this time i was constantly catching fish nothing to brag about but maybe 1 to 2 pounders. the guy comes in a little closer, he wasn't catching a thing, I was still catching them. Then the guy calls me the N word and speeds off purposely trying to disturb the fish. Whats up with that?
  4. I've had some good luck here lately using the scum frog ( chartreuse- nevermind the spelling ) I was wondering has anyone caught any lunckers on other colors? I usually bob it make it swim a little then let it sit for a long while espeacially in between some lilly pads
  5. Beautiful plain beautiful man
  6. Yea i pm'd paul. I used some poor word choices but i'm loving this board its like a infinite supply of advice, motivation, enthusasim, confidence building information I love it and yall aren't so stuck up like other places on the net again i'm loving it. O.k. i sound like i got brown stuff on my nose . peace 8-)
  7. Whoa !!!!! i didn't know it was that big of differance. i'm going to have to go fish for some smallies. Where do yall think the closest place for me to find some from newton county, ms
  8. I heard that Smallmouth bass fight harder than Largemouth bass.Being from Ms I have never caught a smallmouth. I don't think we have Smallmouth around here.
  9. I voted for confidence but to some people it is seen as arrogant. Down here in Ms most people fish for the meal. I hear things like "good luck" "they weren't biting today" "did you have any luck". I honestly in all my time of fishing, have ever went and caught nothing, I feel like i'm better that ( There are exceptional cases when i'm learning a new technique with a new lure or something). I worry about the size not sitting there hoping to get a bite. Its just my version of self-confidence and motivation. ;D ;D ;D
  10. I've been fishing awhile, but i've just gotten into the online communities. Thats an amazing picture i've seen a bass eat smaller bass but not one that looks as big as him whoa :-?
  11. Come to Mississippi We got plenty of water Other than that particular pond my pb is 5lb more like 4.9 but can i round it up :-X
  12. Let my mom come over and catch and eat some of those small ones i'm willing to bet its overpopulated.
  13. Lol @ some of yall but its true. It was one 10lb but we were constantly catching 6 to 8lbs no problem. The type of lake well more of a large pond, the fish were being constantly fed i don't know how often but you could tell it was being well taken care of and hardly anybody fished there. I don't know maybe it was the astros that day or something. It was just two days of fishing. I might be brushing off my once in a lifetime mega fishing day lol i hope not
  14. What do yall think? Private lakes to me are like a reality show, unscripted and very entertaining. At the same time its not really reality. I've been on a private lake and i caught 6 to 10lb fish the whole weekend. I really don't even count them because of the ease. it really didn't matter what i was throwing they were going to hit it. Public lakes on the otherhand seems like they require a higher skill level to fool those wise old lunkers.
  15. Is it true that on different lakes the fish respond to certain lures. I have been fishing a lake i get strikes on soft plastics and mostly top water poppers. No matter how many stumps i bump, depth, color, i can not get a strike on a spinnerbait. I am so ready to go to another lake and experiment for myself. I know some of you more experienced anglers know so hook a brotha up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????? p.s. i love this board
