Went up there last night and got some things $25 river rod Bunch of tubes Hooks 2 $1 spinner baits Line 2 $1.50 Fish Lures (Pretty good ones)

The 2 lakes by my house were half frozen still i did a few casts (no luck)

I was thinking about grabbing a few spinner baits aswell Should i get the biggest ones they have or smaller?? also... Since i have this thread up, Do i use bright colors when its sunny or dark colors?? Same thing for gloomy days How does that work?? i been fishing since i was a kid (21 now) but this year i wanna take it serious and keep progressing.

I could probably do that, There's one right on my street (Family owned) but.. I bet there a lot more expensive then walmart maybe not for little baits but i need a cheap river rod (walmart has some for like $25-$30

Heading up to walmart this weekend i think, If i aint fishing yet i guess ill grab some gear so im ready in the next few weeks. What are some good baits walmart will have?? Mostly fishing in ponds or little lakes. If ya can post a picture of the bait/lure so i know what to grab thanks for the help

the bass biting yet?? Been pretty warm lately i wanna go this weekend just for the hell of it! i been waiting all winter and i cant wait anymore

Well i went yesterday and had no luck. Their in there though bunch of guys were fishing for trout and had no luck all day. Right when i was leaving a guy pulled in a small rainbow trout (never seen one caught before) real pretty fish with the pink. He was using power bait and a slider to keep the bait floating. I might go and try that Saturday.

Are the bass still biting this time of the season?? I live up north in Massachusetts and i have not had any time to fish lately. I have the day off tomorrow and i wanna hit up this pond down the road that's stocked with fish every year. I signed up here and wanted to find out first before i head out. Someone told me that the bass are trying to eat everything this time of the year right before the cold winter is that true??
