  1. To be totally honest I am still not convinced that the few benefits of Flouro such as sensitivity and invisability out weigh the negatives such as memory, stifness, extra attention to knots, and loss of casting distance and overall smoothness. I have not seen a noticable difference in bites compared to Yo-Zuri Hybrid that i was previously using. I will more than likley switch back to the Yo Zuri before its over. The Yo Zuri is a perfect balance of both worlds...
  2. Do you use the 1/0 or 2/0?
  3. Kistler Carbon Steel or catch a Magnesium on sale. You can get a Carbon Steel for $109. Super light and sensitive with plenty power.
  4. The fall im getting now is a darting action where the worm actually straigthenes out and dives down. With the weight in the middle I would assume it would kind of sink evenly.
  5. Anyone using these? I use an unweighted hook now with a nail weight in the nose of my worm but looking for something to give it a more natural fall.
  6. No I did not have any digging issues. The line is a little more stiff than the Yo Zuri Hybrid that I also use but it is manageable. I feel like I lose a little casting distance with the Flouro because of the stiffness but other than that I have no complaints. I pitch t-rigged plastics with it with no backlash trouble.
  7. Just checking out the sneak peak photos on Bassmaster website. While these frogs have unbelievable detail I'm wondering how important is detail on the top side of a topwater bait. I would think the only part of the frog the fish will see is the underside or belly. While the frog looks awesome would there be any benefit in paying more for the extra detail? My guess would be no.
  8. I fish South Louisiana so our bass often share water with Redfish. For anyone who has not experienced the fight of a Redfish its like no other. Very hard hitting and relentless to the end. I pre fished for a tourney Friday morning and landed 8 of these bad boys flipping a Sk Game Hawg around the edges of grass beds. Sat morning I caught 4 more with two of them over 25". I was able to stop and turn these powerful fish on 17# xps Flouro tied with an improved clinch knot without one line failure. The only damage sustained was one mangled spinnerbait and a cavitron buzzer that I had on another rod spooled with 15 Big Game that broke off at the boat while reaching for the net. Prior to this I was concerned with the knot strength and overall strength of Flourocarbon from what i've read on it but now I am assured that I can land any Bass on this line knot combo.
  9. Wacky rigged zoom finesse worm. Fish in my avatar.
  10. I had a red fish steal my last one a 3/8 shad color with gold blade while fishing a bass tourney this weekend. I cannot tell you how many bass ive caught on this thing. The redfish love them as well. When I lost it I tied on a black on black lunker lure and did not get another bite. Could have been the color. The lunker lure actually made more noise than the cavitron.
  11. revo s , sx, sxt I have a revo s on my 7'8" Kistler Frog rod and I lock the drag down and horse them out of the slop. Has not let me down yet.
  12. I love the extra hook for improved hook ups but the weight of the hook actually wants to pull the frog down causing me to have to reel faster than I would like and the frog actually collects alot of grass killing the action. Would the bull ribbit or floating ribbit help with this problem?
  13. I was pretty sure that flouro would get dowm a little deeper than mono. I have settled on 10# Yo Zuri for my deep cranking set up. A little bit of the best of both worlds.
  14. Thanks for the info. I have found myself latley fishing the chatterbait where I would usually fish a spinnerbait. I can cover more water quickly with the chatterbait. I ordered the Shaddolic and crigger craw colors. We will see what happens. It just so happens I have some fat Alberts in my bag that rarley get used so now may be the time.
  15. So Flouro is more dense than mono so to me that means you should be able to get away with a little more diameter Flouro and still obtain the same depth as a smaller diameter mono but how much? Would .015 Flouro get as deep as .012 mono?
  16. How do they compare to the original chatterbait? Just ordered a couple out of curiosity.
  17. Does anyone have any experience with these reels? Are they comparable to a Revo S, Citica?
  18. Are any pro's endorsed by E21? If so their websitedoes not show it. You would think as popular as they have become you would see them on the Elite series.
  19. Ive used them, very good quality and priced reasonable.I just loaded up from Allies Tungsten online. So far I am impressed with these also.
  20. Thanks thats kind of what I thought. I just spooled a new revo sx with xps flouro and then thought about using a different reel for the flouro app. Oh well i will just leave it as is.
  21. Is it ok to spool a reel with line from another reel? Would it lay right on the new spool?
  22. I have a BPS Bionic reel that has been hardly used I will sell for $50 shipped. It will cast a crankbait a mile.
  23. I have an Exceller I picked up on ebay on my spinnerbait rod. It's one of my favorite reels. Very smooth.
  24. Personally I think the rage toads are a little stiff and you have to bring them in pretty fast to get good action out of the legs. You can very slowly roll a ribbit and cause some comotion with the legs.
